Your a complete gent for the offer mate, however with my budget i'll probably be limited to an e36. Besides, I love most things about my 328 id just like it to be 30% more harder, sharper and mental, which hopefully is where an e36 evo would come in.
All in good time and all that though i guess.
Coilovers and some poke next hopefully, although i may put the cash into more power first.
Shouldnt be spending too much on it, my plan is to save for an m3.
Cheers though love!
Finally got some front and rear M-tech bumpers on the car. Massive improvement imo.
Also had some other little additions like the boot spoiler. Its starting to get there.
Just a couple of pics, went a bit arty farty on the first one:
Cheers

Ive seen that car about a fair bit Dave, had no idea it used to be yours. Hes got the throwing stars for sale at the moment at something like £900.
That looks excellent Jon, i'd have loved a hell red one, but could not believe how hard it was to find a nice one in any colour!
Sport bumpers...
Sport bumpers are the next step. Dont know if im going to try source 2nd hand ones that will inevitably be tatty or get one of the new reproduction kits and paint them myself.
Dont fancy paying the prices for a pro sprayer, and i wouldnt know who to go to either.
After close to 2 weeks waiting for tyres and fitting, at last they are on.
As aj quite rightly points out, it is now depserate for coilovers at the front. All in good time!
Anyway, a few very quick shots:
Cheers

Had the car a couple of weeks now. Its such a different experience to the 172.
Performance wise it really isnt that different at all in terms of outright pace, it just goes about it in a completely different way.
I was orginally after a sport, but after searching for a good car every day for...
s**t luck mate, my first clio was written off in similar circumstances.
BTW I live literally 2 minutes up the road from where this accident took place (just before Saltaire roundabout near *****'s pub judging by the pictures) and at that time of day it would be virtually impossible to go any...
Had the RAC man out yesterday.
He determined that the ecu was detecting no rpm at all when turning over, hence not firing.
However ive tried 2 seperate brand new crank sensors and still nothing.
Any ideas?
My 172 did this a few days back and mysteriously cured itself after an hour.
The immobiliser light comes on solid, goes off, yet the car just wont start - it turns over nice and strong but wont fire.
So far ive swapped:
Coil pack, leads, crank sensor.
The fuel rail seems to be full of fuel...
Wont go into too much detail but im pretty sure the dodgy work experience kid at my store has walked off with my car key today.
Had to get the spare down to get home.
What worries me is that if he has indeed taken it, hes going to flog it to one of his pikey mates, knowing my car will be...
Just to add, it has also cut out a few times when stationary, in a similar way as when the power cuts whilst moving, the same thing happens at idle, and the car dies.
As of yesterday my ph1 has developed an odd fault.
Theres an intermittant misfire happening, its pretty random but slightly more common on very low throttle inputs. Power is completely cut very sharply for around half a second, then jolts back in again.
Ive changed the leads, coilpack and...
I do lurk heavily, but i always think if ive got nothing useful to say then its best not to bother.
I'm definately up for a meet its just always silly difficult for me with work. Some days i only know what im working 1 day in advance. I'll get to one before i sell the car if it kills me.
Cheers guys
In no particular order, answers to questions:
Its got 15mm hubcentric spacers on the front, back has nothing.
Im most definately sticking with the ph1 arse, although it has picked up a decent war wound on the left side, so a replacement might be down the line.
It brushes up...
This happened a week or so back
So i thought i'd take a few shots of how the car sits at the moment. Every minute of owning this car has been a pleasure.

Just done the French championship le sarthe race in a standard 172 and surprisingly enjoyed it.
Did question the accuracy of it all though when a s2 rallye came past me at 120mph.
Gearing seems slightly out too, i know i had a gps indicated 138mph out of my ph1 with a good 1k rpm or so to go...
As harsh as it may sound, i think that unless you spend some decent money on one its not worth bothering with.
The big benefits of a wheel on GT5 are the force feedback (not rumble or crap axial feedback) and support for 900degree rotation which are only things your going to get on a higher end...
I'll also second that very strongly.
just completed the amg 'ring special at intermediate and hustling that big sls around there with the wheel bucking and sawing away is epic fun, takes some bloody holding on too.
The sense of speed is quite well judged imo. Certainly in the premium cars, its easy to feel very 'involved' in the driving experience, especially when using a wheel.
As usual with GT the tracks are by and large fantastic, aside from the usual invisible brick wall 10ft from the edge of the...
Have to say im fairly dissapointed with this.
The biggest thing that has struck me is the amount of bugs and niggles. I thought the whole point of delaying it so many times was to fix these things.
To name a few gripes:
No proper logitech g25/27 support combined with a strange bug whereby...
