When i used to visit my Tuner, he said he heard me from a mile away, and use to give me complimentary ear plugs when I left (Right joker lol)
Had to import the mid res,pay to get it fitted, then all was better, but still sweated on the noise checks at tracks

Ive got standard Cat, KTech stealth with mid res, and it sounds fab
Ive had other non mid res exhausts (Bastuck) that when overtaking up hill you needed ear defenders- i put on a mid res :-)
Was looking at having 2 sets wheels and tyres. Car was bought with aftermarket 15 inch rims which I was goona put Toyo TR1s on for daily road use, and track if need be (Wet)
Then another set of 15s with Toyo R888s on for track only
Would it be better in any way for track use to have a bigger...
If i could get mine ready in time.... prefer a 20 min novice slot to start the Clio off with

Not averse to a half day, but its the suspension thats gonna cause me most thinking time i reckon
Need it to stick to the road, and steering nice and firm
No need to worry bout sounding rude- i dont take offence easy, and your not rude
Thats the problem with no Haynes manual around. I know my way around a Citroen DS3 pretty well, and know quite a lot bout the THP engine- nothing about the VVT 2.0 Renaulsport tho
Am learning a little at a time...

Otherthan that i assume its empty it, and fill it, no air
Current coolant is bright orange (Not dirty) and tastes strongly bittersweet. glycerol? some pipes look new. Might just leave it?
Mines standard silver :-( however, plans afoot next year to half wrap it royal or torquise blue, maybe plastidip
Then wheels powdercoated same,or plastidipped to test the colour out (Non standard multispoke wheels on mine BLACK)

Hi Tookers.Just got an old 172 myself, looking to track at Brands but no experience other than a couple novice 20 min sesssions
Other than a good clean, oil and filter, and antifreeze, next up is brakes for me
Think they are standard atm other than goodridge hoses, so interested in what brakes...
Have been to this show a few times, great fun. Track time available but a smallish track, never appealed to me but will do now I have my 2001 Clio 172

Apparently it has a cracked ABS ring Offside. See on here its fairly common (ABS kicks in at real low speed)
My days of doing heavyish work like this is over, so anyone know a good mechanic round Sussex/ Brighton
Certianly goes well
Slight synchro issue 2/3 rd gear- doesnt seem too bad- that common?
Hi All- looking at a Clio 172 with 105k miles, seems pretty clean,no mods other than no rear seat (Makes me smile and yet to be fully explained- probably modded/tracked b4?)
Dead keen on getting it for mainly track use, but must be road legal as a back up.
Come from Citroen DS3 background (THP)...
