Need your opinions as to my wheels. Should I keep them as they are, spray them or sell on and buy something different and if so what wheels? The car is going to be a track toy so no bling or spinners!
ok so the scum run mobile has developed an annoying misfire! Car ( 172 ph2) starts up an idles fine, will drive fine for about 2 miles then develops a misfire on 1 or 2 cylinders! If you turn the car off and leave for an hour to cool down it starts fine again, suggestions please ?
I used dci inner ones and 172 outlets if I remember rightly. As for the alternator set up, I used a cup alternator and Volvo 1.7 ( 340/440) brackets. You can also use and still available to buy them from Renault ( Renault 5 1.7, clio 1.7 rsi)
It's a Renault scenic gear shifter, with a race style knob on it. The only mod I've done is bend the shaft a bit more to help clear the dashboard when going into 3rd. Lots of threads about the shifter
Was really easy to fit, just undo the cat from downpipe, remove the 4x 30 torn that hold the heat shield, undo the 13mm bolt at the end of the linkage, undo the 4x 13mm nuts and the whole shifter will drop down. Took 20mins to do and that's doing it on axle stands.
So this happened yesterday, bye bye ABS, hello cuplines and modified and fitted a scenic shifter! The sifter makes a world of difference changing gear, recommend this cheap mod to anybody!
So abs delete, I fitted genuine cup lines along with some Hel brake hoses. My car has a speedo driven gearbox so speedo works fine. As for warning lights, not an issue as I'm building a new loom to replace the cars current one. I did trim the standard loom down the other day but wasn't happy...

So I have an early ph2 172 with the speed sensor in gearbox, I have all the one lines from a 172 cup and was thinking of fitting them. Question is, I'm planning on selling the car April next year and wondering if it's worth swapping the brake system over or just selling the cup system on?
Loving this car and afraid to say I'm going the same colour route though not the black roof. One question, how is the dash top secured seeing as you've removed the original dash frame.

recently changed the wheels from the standard ones to gold Williams ones and undecided if I like them or not. Do I rep ain't them a different colour (gold at the mo) or do I buy another set of 15" wheels and if sow hat should I go for?
Because I've done away with the air con and in the process of doing away with the abs system, I'm wanting to fit a cup loom to the Clio. My question is, apart from fitting both engine bay loom and interior loom, do I need anything else such as uch module, ecu etc

So bit of an update, car was due Mot and took it to work to get it done and it failed on a few things...
Airbag light
Rear n/s wheel bearing
Headlight aim
And emissions are through the roof!
So set up about fixing it all and after fitting the new rear disc and brembo pads, fitting resistors to...
