Bear in mind that reading the resistance of the injectors will verify if their coils are ok but doesn't account for contamination or if they're partially blocked, if that's the case it also won't register a fault at the ECU with them. That engine light can refer to a reading from the lambda...
Gtechniq PW is very good. I personally wouldn't rotary polish a car without taking paint depth readings first. I did a friends fiesta last summer and the bonnet and nearside wing were down to 70 microns due to a repair she knew nothing about.
Mine certainly made a difference. I never had the time to trace why, I changed them because they were all badly corroded. I'm guessing possibly comprising the supply to the coil pack.
I've had my 182 for six months now and it occurred to me I still have no idea how things like the cruise control work or if mine has auto wipers (it has auto lights). Is there anywhere I can download the manual?
Before '04 the Midlands 'box wasn't great, after that they switched to a Getrag 'box which was supposed to be better. Having said that I recently sold my mum's 12 year old abused Mini and the gear change was a hell of a lot slicker than my 182!
If you're planning on using both subs and the amp wired how they originally are then there won't be a problem. I'm working on a false floor in mine at the moment.
The exhaust may need welding. As far as the heat shield, unscrew the 10mm nut and put a big washer up behind it. You may as well do all of them while you're there.
I've been thinking about doing this but it would seem you can get them cleaned professionally quite cheaply, http://injectortune.co.uk/Injector_Cleaning.html
To be honest if reviews are anything to go by the new RS Clio isn't supposed to be very good, I'd probably look at the Fiesta ST. You do have the option to keep the car at the end of the agreement, you just pay it off.
I'm guessing (and I do mean guessing!) an electronic boost controller could work if the ECU is going by an air pressure reading from the plenum but I have no idea how the Twingo is set up. A decent intercooler would help if you're only having this issue when it gets hot although probably not a...
You typically pick up the rs tuner for around £120, unlock licence is £60 then the map is £30. You can then sell on the tuner for £120. Is it worth it, yes. A lot nicer to drive and possibly a bit quicker.
I have to admit, I don't remember seeing 195bhp quoted. The map makes it tick over better and gives it a smoother more progressive power delivery. It's a worthwhile upgrade.
