I'd rather maintain a 182 than a 197/200 though. Almost everything is easier, and the parts all cost less. Don't think that mk3s don't break, becuase they do and when they break everything is £220 for a small part
loom damage somewhere. probably going to be a relay that powers the TB, which has an output from the ECU to trigger the relay. I'd be lookng there first
pretty much what a startup map needs to be really. Don't know where people shape their ideas of what is good and bad, I've seen some absolute tripe come from non official gen90 mappers, flashing different firmware to hack round security and losing half the functionality, cold start that you have...
Expect to spend £500 on any car you buy. Most people sell as the car needs work. Be realistic and spot the necessary work before purchase and you won't get a nasty surprise
Its got 428s not 438s.
I also did the clutch about 18 months ago so that should be good. Seller is full of s**t though, 2 threads on here yesterday about it
yeah Luke came to me first but I was refused a copy of the software to sort it out so he had to go back there. It used to take 10 minutes of idling from cold before you could use the throttle or it would stall.
it's a stock engine with 428s. it made 194bhp & 150lb/ft at SRR with the ITBs fitted. When it had the ITBs it was a boomerang car, kept coming back to me every time it changed hands, with issues that were always down to the poor ITB install, then they kept going to the original installer (TDF)...
I Still can't do without a laptop. I've tried to find a suitable tablet or even convertible laptop but they're a hell of a lot of extra money for something which is essentially just the same with a touchscreen. Closest I've come is the HP Envy which seems pretty trick
Sunday night about 5.45 onwards, bit of position swapping for most of the length of the A34 until I stopped at Chievely services. Looked nice, Thought you were Adam P at first from behind
that's pretty much it IMO. You can mod a car well without it being for track use. Kind of what I build my own cars for as I actually use them daily. My 197 is now better on the road than it was, probably worse on track though, but I have other cars for that
