if you fit 120s on SFs, you have to cut off the studs for the catch, or you can't fit a filter. I fitted some years ago (2008) and they worked brilliantly. Nobody listened then........lol.
I leaned it off and it gained about 10bhp, but the long term damage has been done. I'll be doing the whole lot this time round, then I'm not reliant on someone else taking care of the engine I've put love and hard work into
can't be bothered with that arguement. The fact he didn't even know how to strap a FWD car on the dyno properly (side to side, not over the wishbones like RWD) was scary enough
Took a picture of the Alternator they've fitted with the incorrect pulley on it. It's a larger diameter (meaning the belt length would be compromised) and the ribs are out of line with everything else so the belt wasn't running straight.
Std 197, then with my prototype induction kit fitted

perfect fit. Same as I had on my 4 and that was perfect too
that surprises me, I was bored of 4 very quickly, keep going back to 5. Helps that I don't have time to play it every day I guess, but it's hilarious playing online still
probably bought the one without the center silencer to save £30. massive mistake that far too many people make, and then base negative opinions on that.
I sell loads of Janspeed/KTR systems and never have issues, lots of happy customers. I see a fair number of cars with scorpion systems and they're always badly fitting, cracking, or just generally crap
with all due respect, I wouldn't pay any attention to anyone advising not to use all the locking tools. It's bad advice, anf anyone handing out bad advice, shouldn't give any advice at all.
apart from actually adjusting the tensioner, which can be a bit awkward if you don't have the 2 prong tool to fit it, it's very easy
replace the tensioner, and the water pump while you're there
David at Canems is a bit of a clever bugger. He's got my 197 at the moment to sort out the plug and play kit for that, and he got the dash CAN decoded in about 20 minutes. Even got the starter button strategy fully working within a couple of weeks and that's had a few people stumped for months...
no offence, just explaining as it seemed to be being perceived as a big un-solvable issue. If I manage to get Pete this updated version of the ECU as a part-ex over the winter, it'll never be a problem again if the box has to be swapped out or whatever as the chip that processes the crank signal...
