Check the 'turbines' on the E39/E46 and compare to the newer generation cars, they're quite different.
The Roadster S alloys weren't exclusive to that car, but I agree, they were awful.
Other than that they're awesome cars. Specially the new 600hp/590lbft B5 Touring...
200.7mph top speed...
Looks good...
Best thing for old numberplate sticky pads is your lasses hair dryer, off in minutes.. Then quick wipe with White spirit to clean off any remaining tack.
If deffo have the map tweaked, you'd wish you'd spent £100 on doing it if the engine s***s itself and also do it before you...
I quite fancy trying a 135 when they get to around 12k, I love rwd and how they move about but sometimes it's be nice to just plant it and go.
I had a mapped/smokey Fabia VRS almost match me coming off a greasy roundabout in the first bit of 2nd gear the other day! ...but when mine hooked up it...
My old ones had all that but they're called a Sport, your V5 will say the same.
M Sports were introduced around 2006 on the E46 as it was phased out, although they're essentially the same.
What's the M Sport obsession? £100 says it doesn't say M Sport on the V5. Same with yeecup's 2004 car!
Imola red is lovely and the ambers would look ok if the rears matched.. I'd dump the facelift leds, don't think they look right on pre facelift, think because the MV1 are pretty retro.. Pick...
If you met all other requirements, and with the weight of whatever tow car leaves you with 1500kgs for the trailer and trailered car combo.. The trailer needs to be plated to 1500kgs.
You can't town a 700kgs Mini on a 300kgs trailer if the trailer is plated at a 2200kgs MAM.
They're not a bad box, they are slushy in drive, and the economy is pretty dire (I get only slightly less from my 550i) but put it in drive and it locks up and is as quick as any manual 330i
I never knew they weren't standard, they were on my old E90 335d and had them on all other BM's I've had so just assumed! Useful extra though...
Swapping to normal tyres made a huge difference again on my 335d, not just the ride but the price too! I bought a space saver for the boot for less...
That's not too bad really..
Only way you could go faster for cheaper with comfort is buying a £3k 9-3 2.8T and banging a map in it and go straight to 300hp and 400lbft, or maybe a Vectra VXR with same engine but they're a bit chavy.
Daniel should know me better! I don't mean because is not a sport, I don't dislike the SE's at all..
Nav and leather are (some may say essential) options on it. It hasn't got xenons, pdc std, climate std, it's prob go auto lights and wipers which are std..
This generation aren't too badly...
That's a bargain, and that engine is a peach. Just a shame it's a bit poverty spec but can't have everything.
Keep those wheels too they look great on SE's
Yes, Paul did it.. Can't remember how much now.
I fell out with the car when Saab went under.. Cracking engine though, I'd probably buy the Vectra VXR if wanted that engine again.
