If a gearbox can handle the torque in 3rd gear then it will in 1st or 2nd.
It will be for traction reasons why it's limited in early gears.. same as my 335d, it pulled harder in 3rd than 2nd as it wasn't torque limited!
Saloon/tour were facelifted in 2001 around a 51 plate...
When the coupe/cab got their facelift in 2003 the saloon/tour got the mv2's too as well as the different climate panel.
Re: 1M Akrapovic
Not for me at all..
I think these 1M's will hold their values nearly as well as csl's are years down the line, messing with them would put me right off.
I had the garage do mine with a few other bits. it didn't take them that long 20mins or so.
Its in-line with a coolant pipe so it needs draining down, not completely as it's at the top of the engine. Swap over and fill back up, bleed as necessary.
if yours is an auto it'll have a dramatic...
530i is just one stat.. They're prone to failure, mine needed doing. Mpg jumped up by 2/3. Auto box performs better too because the car knows it's warmed up so it's not in slip mode to heat the oil sooner!
I've always wonders that Dave.. All my E46 have had the arm rest, although the current one is the only one I've vin checked, it doesn't mention it on there as an option.
i had in my head that it was a standard item on saloons/touring but optional on the more 'sporty' coupes as it could baulk a...
Lovely car...
Only shame for for me is grey leather... Auto suits them just right though. :-)
If I wanted a coupe to fly about in is hunt out a manual I think, rest of time auto wins.
It's not just the band, it's a purple coating over the whole screen.. Apparently to keep the car cool in the sun.
Mine was seized open, win!
Some people want autos! I never used to, but I grew old and got bored of racing about. Autos are far more chilled (even though it's sommat else to go...
That's tidy mate.. My only criteria was xenons, Harmon kardon and auto.. Got the lot, the xenons really make the look of the car, looks soooo much better. I'd not consider one without.
Sorry I should of explained myself better!
I meant you'd not tell that they weren't genuine xenons (to look at) don't bother with the bluer colour temps, they look chavy and don't produce as much light.
Chuck a 4300k hid kit in and you'll not tell the difference..
Only thing you're missing is auto levelling. MOT says that auto levelling is assumed to work so it's not tested. If it's an issue you could easily swap back once a year!
