Thanks for all the positive comments guys!
I've removed the Dews dealer sticker already, haven't bothered taking the Elf one off yet! Need to get a better tax disc holder too as that's also a dealer one. :dapprove:
Will be taking a look at the Cooksport springs, saw Ash87's R26...
Well it's a much nicer place to be sat than the Clio, lots of storage compartments and the centre arm rest is awesome for motorway cruising. Visibility is much better when checking blind spots, parking and the likes. The ride quality is much better without being too soft, it just seems to soak...
Well, I've been on this forum for a while and have much enjoyed owning my 172. I'm sure some of you have seen my car in the past as I posted a lot in the media section! I've since sold the Clio and have moved onto one of my dream cars. A Black/Gold Renaultsport Megane 225 to be precise! I've...
Check out Rhino Alloys in Tarleton. I had my Turinis done there and they look awesome. They might cost a bit more compared to some places but the finish on them is immense. I think they have a winter sale on at the moment too, only a choice of 6 colours though! Starts from £220 for a set of...
Did a track day today at Donington and just thought I'd share a few pictures (pictures taken by Xtreme Sports Photography). It was my first track day experience and I'll certainly be doing more in the future as it was epic fun, would have liked a few more sessions out on track though. I had some...
Fairly mixed feelings then. I'm certainly not going to be driving like a hero as my car is also my daily driver. I might just take my car and see how I get on and if I feel the car needs better brakes I'll upgrade them as I would like to do more track days next year too.
Will getting braided...
Evening all,
I've got my first track day at Donington coming up soon and I'm a bit worried as to whether my current brake set up is going to handle a full day of punishment. I've currently got OEM spec Ferodo pads up front with Brembo HC discs and Mintex rear pads with standard rear discs. I've...
Hello all, washed my car earlier and over the past few weeks I have done a few mods to it, namely the Cup spoiler and a set of refurbished Turinis (the centre caps will be painted shortly, refurb was done by Rhino Alloys in Tarleton who I highly recommend!). I've owned the car for over 2 years...
Evening all,
I'll soon be putting a set of 172 Cup Turinis on my non Cup 172 but I'm after some locking wheel nuts before I put them on. Could anyone recommend a good quality set of suitable locking wheel nuts as I'm not really sure what I should be buying. I've measured the thread length on my...
Yeah I've read they've discontinued them, mytyres.co.uk seem to have some in stock though (I hope). What's the rim protection like on them? I'm going to be putting fresh tyres on my refurbed Turinis so would like some form of protection on them!
Iceberg 172 (possibly a Cup as I noticed a Cup spoiler). Was sitting on 2118s with anthracite badges and a recessed exhaust. Anyone on here? :)
I was the tall guy wearing a purple hoodie getting into my 172 if you saw me! ;)
Yeah it looked like a standard one, looked slightly lowered too. Will do, judging by the work on their Facebook page they're going to look pretty awesome once they're finished. Now I just need to source 2 more centre caps... :(
Saw an Iceberg 172 heading into Ormskirk this morning at around 11am and a blonde in a Flamer leaving Tesco in/near Burscough shortly after.
I was in my Brother's Subaru Legacy heading to Rhino Alloys to get my set of Turinis refurbed (pretty sure the guy in the Iceberg looked at us too!)...

Bargain to be honest! I've had a set of these in my car for well over a year and they're still working as well as the day I put them in. :approve:
I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if the rear diamond is identical to the front one? I believe the rear diamond is glued on but does it also have the 3 clips like the front one? If so, could I buy any Mk2 diamond for the rear of my car? :S
Any advice would be appreciated muchly!
Renault Type D coolant is what you'll need. You can get 5 litres of it direct from Renault for about £12ish or online. 5 litres is enough for a coolant change as I had some left over when I did mine :)
