Thanks! Nothing massively special really, I used Bilberry on the alloys with a wheel brush and then used Meguiars Gold Class shampoo (warm water if that makes any difference) with a Halfords wash mitt. I attempted to get some tar spots off with Auto Glym intensive tar remover too. It's turned...
Phase 1 was heading towards Runcorn at about 10am and the Trophy was near Oswestry on the A5 at about 10:45ish, I was in my Iceberg 172 with my xenons blazing.
Saw various other 182's around the area too.
I did actually try painting the lettering silver, but it looked awful so I sanded it down and sprayed it grey again :o they do look better in the flesh. The lettering stands out more compared to these pictures.
Thanks all!
I do want some Eibach's but I can't because of my insurance... hopefully next year I can change company and get some worthwhile mods purchased. I can't even change my alloys currently :dead: FML.
The bullets and diamonds come off pretty easily with a flat screwdriver (wrap it...
Over the past few weeks I've been freshening up the looks of my 172 by painting the front diamond, bullets and wheel diamonds. Looks much better now IMO. Still have the rear to do and maybe take the 'Renault Sport' badge off as I'm sick of driving next to people with the Halfords 'Sport' badge...
I have this Alpine head unit, 4 colour choices and looks good in my 172. It's easy to use and sounds great, I also have the iPod lead running through into the glove box.

Can't say I've noticed different shades of colour on my car other than the plastic wings/bumpers etc but my car seems pretty consistent all the way round. I was reading something the other day on here about there being 4 different shades of iceberg silver. Maybe yours has had a respray at some...
Get some 5000k or 6000k D2S bulbs from HID's Direct for around £18. I have some in my car and they have been faultless! I presume you have xenon bulbs in your 182 before you buy some...
I got my 6000k bulbs from there too, faultless so far and look great! When I bought mine I found their store on eBay and they were a few quid cheaper than the website ;)
Here's a picture anyway.
The lambswool drill piece buffer I got was in a Silverline sanding/polishing kit I got from Tool Station and the Meguiars Plast-X can be found on eBay. Search for "drill buffer" on eBay and a few come up!
I've just finished doing mine as mine were looking old/hazed. I used 1500, 2000 and 2500 grade sandpaper and a lambswool buffer pad attached to a drill and some Meguiars Plast-X. They've come up looking really good!
