Much better! I did this last week as mine were well weathered and it didn't turn out very well, but I didn't use a machine polisher or drill attachment :dead: Where did you get one from out of interest?
Could be your HT leads? When I was foolish enough to get water into the spark plugs wells on my car my HT leads got moisture in them which when the car warmed up after driving for 15 minutes it would start to misfire and run on 3 cylinders. Eventually when they dried out it was fine and has been...
Great stuff, I'll probably have a good look over them tomorrow with my Dad and see if we can diagnose anything, if not we'll take them off and inspect them more closely. Is it obvious a shock is broken when it's off the car even without a leak? Plus is it best to raise the rear end off the...
I had my air-con re-gassed not long ago and being honest it isn't as cold as I thought it was going to be, can changing the pollen filter improve it? Or is the system generally not very good in the first place?
Yeah it happened very suddenly on a national speed limit road on a sweeping corner, I wasn't driving like an idiot as it was raining and was doing 50-55 ish I'd say, could have been slower but it was terrifying as I wasn't expecting it :( I've driven on the stretch of road numerous times rain or...
Thanks for the reply and link, appreciate it! After browsing some threads I've decided to buy both sets of ARB bushes (inner and outer) as I can imagine both sets are knackered anyway, now I hope I've bought the correct size ones for my car. The Kam Racing website suggested 23mm outer bush and...
Hello all,
The past few days my car has started to feel a bit floaty during cornering after a little brown trouser moment I had thanks to a slimy wet road causing the rear to kick out through a corner. Thankfully I managed to correct the car and didn't hit anything so there are no bent...
As title really, just looking at products to remove the bits of wax I've accidently got on my plastic trim. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and is it any good? (don't want to go down using the peanut oil route) :o
Wouldn't fancy hitting pot holes at 40mph :dead: just a quick one, I'm sure my front shocks are knackered as my car is terribly uncomfortable (can't see any leaks on them) but when doing the push down on each corner of the car test mentioned above, my car is nearly impossible to push down to...
Thanks :) I presume you mean the gasket? if so, yes it's fine to re-use it! Many people on here re-use it and my inlet has been off many times without replacing it and it's all still running peachy :approve:
I'd probably say it would be worth getting a new coil pack and leads before looking to deep into it and thinking your car is well and truely rogered (like me when my leads were faulty) :o maybe give the throttle body a clean too.
Thanks :) it's definitely worth doing, makes such an improvement! I'm tempted to rip out the airbox and give that a good cleaning too as it's looking a bit grubby next to the freshly painted parts :o I'm getting more and more tempted to paint the renaultsport logo yellow too
Looks nice and tidy, recently painted my inlet manifold matt black but was too scared to paint the throttle body to match :o should clean my air box really as that's looking shabby now. You noticed any improvement with the matched inlets?
I used Simoniz Engine Enamel spray paint (500ml) I bought 2 cans but I never even got through one of them :o

I'm probably going to leave it black to be honest, I was thinking of maybe painting it yellow but I'm not sure it would look right against the car with it being Iceberg silver :S
Decided to give my engine bay a tidy up and did a bit of painting on Sunday. I painted the inlet and the fuel rail guard matt black and I think it's turned out pretty good if I do say so myself :approve: For anyone interested in how I did it I just cleaned the parts with a degreaser and gave...
Chances are it'll be the bulb that has broken rather than the ballast, and you can get replacement pairs of xenon bulbs for about £20 delivered so they aren't massively expensive, they are just annoying to replace due to the lack of room (I have some in my car as I fancied a white/blue tinted...
Well as far as I know the "ballast" is sort of a power pack for the xenon bulb which is located behind the bulb itself and connects to it. Which side of the car has the bulb stopped working? as the drivers side headlight can be a bit of a tight squeeze to get to!
