just get a new one, only about £15-£20 for genuine, or you can get one from GSF etc

the temp flying up will be caused by the belt not turning the pump! The belt has "probably" come off due to a f**ked pump if you look at the photo you posted you can see brown spoof under the waterpump which normally means - dead

yep its held to the crank by the crank pulley/aux pulley/crank bolt - no keyway, just friction

just weld it, WAY easier

that's not including dephaser

s**t happens, i had a similar thing happen on one of ours a few years ago, replaced under warranty no bother! Bit harsh to be bashing the retailer unless they've point blank told you to piss off

no need to even touch the bolts/nuts, just bend it down at the bac and you'll see the adjuster nut

they've got too hot, did you bin the shims and files the back plates down??

Yeah ali tube, with silicone joiners (or even plastic drain pipe LOL!) something a bit more rigid, the stock intake tube on a 172/182 can deform under induction and that's only a 2.0 sucking air in, not a turbo spinning at 130,000rpm!
