Think people may have misunderstood what he is saying, i think he's saying he changed a few things on the quote, so that he could get an idea of the price for when the time comes (i assume he would use accurate details when actually taking out a policy)

I completely agree, it just came across as a bit of a dig at Laura, allthough im sure thats not how it was intended. Both bloody lovely cars though!
there are 3 drainage points, 1 either side under the scuttle panel and a pipe behind the engine in the middle, these get VERY gunked up so give these a clean out and it should be fine. as for the sunroof there is a little red clip on the handle, unclip this and just lift the sunroof out. run...

Hi, so...basically I have never detailed in my life and I have no idea on the products, but would like to give it a go,
so could someone recommend some basic detailing gear (cheap!) and a guide on how best to apply and in which order

This may sound very stupid as i know racing isn't cheap anyway, but as much as dipping it would be a very cool thing to do, i'm not sure i could do it racing in an amateur series, after seeing some of the bumps from other cars last season, imagine spending thousands on having the shell dipped...
