I would have killed the f**ker by now! Fair play to you for staying calm and dealing with it the correct way! But look at it this way, if he hadn't of done such a s**t job first time around, you probably wouldn't have half the ability you now have :) still it's a very expensive lesson in mechanics!

I suppose thats a good idea from an instructors point of view, i bet they get loads of business just because the learners want to drive a vxr!

IMO its not a great idea in any car, driving a car other than with an instructor while learning just tends to slow progress, getting into bad habits etc. Plus as said, the cost of insuring the learner would pay for quite a few "real" lessons
