It's designed to be fairly high, why would you want to adjust it? It's easier to just blip the clutch and change gear. If you do really wanna change it it'll probably mean getting a whole new clutch.

10 min job on my 172, jack it up, undo 4 bolts, put on cat, tighten 4 bolts, done. Ok, maybe 20 min job.

Sorry, this is no real help but mine used to do this. If I opened and locked the car straight away then opened it again it would go off. Had a bump and buggered the alarm up totally and when I had the car back it was fixed.

Well for about two weeks a yr we do get the cup owners coming on here saying they wish they had aircon then it's back to 'our car is fastest'.

That's very good but still worth shopping around because if you get it cheaper elsewhere it's cheaper so who cares about the extra yr's no claims being lost.

If it's about aesthetics it's the cup. But being a girl you also need to think how you'll feel being all sweaty in the summer without aircon.

If you get the cup there's no prob but if you do go for the ff get them to chuck in the alternator belt change free (if it hasn't already been done) and try get a cambelt change out of them too.

Standard 172 back boxes tend to fall off, mine did when I was overtaking my mate, buggered his front bumper up.

My car has covered 78,000 miles, the engine has seized so think will fit new engine. Obviously you still have to keep the mileage reading the same but would a new engine/gearbox and clutch raise the value slightly of my car to that of a lower mileage one? I know not quite as much but still...

...you blow a spark plug, head gasket twice and snap timing belt all in 6 months.
