A dog box is a very different gearbox to use compared to a synchro box, so it’s worth looking into so you understand how it works.

You can also move the engine as far over to the drivers side to try and alleviate the problem. You should’ve been told this by whoever fitted the diff mate really - it’s such a common occurrence!
