The cambelt, dephaser ....... was done over 7 years ago ? The service interval is 5 years or 72k miles for cambelt service and 5 years 36k miles for aux belt service.
I think it looks a decent honest advert imo.
The ad looks pretty much spot on . Better than alot I've read . It sounds like somebody whos knows about Clios . Its hard to tell from the pic but the bodywork looks ok . One thing alot of Clios suffer is a big dent on the bonnet just above the Diamond . You need to drop the bonnets for them to...
Just quickly skimmed through Autotrader . What about this one ? I bet you can get this nearer to £2500

I know what ya mean . I've seen lots of videos of problems and its not obvious to people listening . It might actually sound a little bit louder on video than it does in real life. I'll get my g/f to grip my column later when shes home from work lol .
Just got home from a good 90 min drive . I didn't notice any creaking because of the engine noise and radio . Parked up outside my house and noticed it creaking again , badly . The temperature outside is about 6 degrees warmer than it has been all week . The last time it was creaking was Monday...
Just get as much information on cars around the £3k mark to prove that's how much you would need if you needed to replace yours . The more information you can get , the stronger your case . Good luck
Have a look on Ebay , Gumtree and Pistonheads . Prices are on the rise for 182's , pushing £3k and more for alot higher mileage than yours .
Just 3 examples ...
I've pm'd you my number . When i phoned Birchdown this morning and explained the problem he sounded like he was familiar with this problem . Fingers crossed it's just the bushes .
Mine hasn't done it since Monday , but it's constantly been doing it for the past 4 or 5 weeks and it's always worse when the temperature is hot . As you know today and the last couple of days it's been alot cooler . I just nipped out and checked it now and it's quiet .
Is yours doing it all...
Thanks for the recommendations . It's booked in with Birchdown , I'm tight for time for the next few months the 17th July is spot on for me plus the added bonus that they have a courtesy car whcih i'll really need.
You're doing the right thing , perservering and not just buying the first one that catches your eye . I've seen a few horror stories on here over the years of somebody buying one and 2 days later , bang , the engines let go . This is why I'm always sceptical about cars that's had a high number...
I've just booked it in for 17th July at Birchdown , first available date they have . I'll post up any findings for future reference for anybody else having this issue .
RB is a pretty sought after colour tbh . They seem to come up for sale less often than say Silver for instance. Once cleaned , polished etc ....... they look stunning
It's just had new full aux kit fitted back in April at Birchdown and its been fine . The first time I noticed it was when we had that heatwave a few weeks back . Now the temps back down to 11 degrees the noise has gone . I only really mentioned the wet weather because its rained for the past 3...
I haven't looked at prices for God knows how long . I'm a little shocked how much they seem to have gone up . 12 months ago you could have got a half decent one for £1.5 - 2k . Who needs a V6 or a Trophy for appreciating prices lol :tongueout:
I'll give Birchdown a ring tomorrow . I was just a bit concerned if it is steering rack related , am I still ok driving for now as they're usually quite busy .
What about this one in Carlisle ? The worst advert in the world . He says bugger all about the car .

A good thing to look at is MOT checker . Type in the reg number and you'll see any fails , advisories etc.... It can...
Tbh , I still think the very first one you posted on ebay looks very tidy . He's just asking about £400 too much and also the one you posted in Cornwall .
Some people don't like the term Full Fat :tonguewink: You've basically got 3 models .
You've got the " Cup version " , poverty spec with cloth seats , no air con or climate control . I'm not entirely sure about the air con so don't hold me to that.
Then you've got a 182 with full leather , air...
First one for me too . Same as others have said . The engine rebuild would put me off . You couldn't have a picked a car much further away from Edinburgh to Cornwall :openmouth:
What about this one ? You could probably knock £150 off and get it for £1000 then have some cash to spare for any jobs...
