ive gotta 1.2 8v at the mo and even thats fun to drive compared to my m8s puntos, civic etc..

or these, ummm
decisions, decisions.
i havnt even got my car to put em on yet :S
but i'm just browsing lol
yeh, they are pricey to say the least but they look brill and build quality is spot on.
i'm only gettin one if its cheap through my bro's friend's friend :) who works @ piperX i think.
lookin good mate! :)
any increase in performance with the viper? how does it sound, cos i'm gonna get one wen i get my new car, hopefully a mk2 ph1 1.4 16v si :D
no, ive gotta get insurance in my own name. i went down the route of being a named driver on my 1.2 but i crashed and my mum lost her no claims! she wernt happy to say the least.
car looks great. not my usual cuppa tea but i expect to see an article in max power, redline etc.. in the future.
how much did the badboy bonnet cost to get done? looks evil
yeah quoted £2200 without passplus so it's definetely worth doin, its the equivalent to 1 year no claims.
i'll try adding my mum or dad.
anybody know what directline's attitude to mods is like??
i'm lookin to buy a 2000 clio 1.4 16v si.
best quote i've had is from Directline:£1800 fully comp :( with passplus.
i'm 17 with 5 months drivin, no claims or convictions in coventry postcode area.
wots the deal with mods with directline though cos some people say they don't cover modified...
if you want well balanced sound, dont get 6x9s.
run some decent front components off the amp you have.
Uprate the rears or get rid of em completely...
and if you want bass, get a sub
if you have rear speakers already, yep.
but if you just wanna run it off the headunit, you can disconnect the rears and extend the wire to reach the 6x9s.
they will sound better runnin off a seperate amp becos theyll have more power to them.
no this headunit aint compatible with the steering controls but it should still work though. not 100% sure.
by the way its £40 cheaper at http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4668
to be honest, ive never bin a fan of sony car audio though, i would go for an alpine or...
yeh its pretty fine:D , thinkin about gettin the bass controller for it and mountin it on centre console or summin.
Need a headunit first though:( need to start savin my pennies:p
i bought my new ICE in the wrong order really :o but wen i saw the sub and amp up on ebay... i couldnt resist.
My Boston sub arrived today:clap:
It's in a well tidy little box
can't wait to get it all installed, just need a headunit now as my last one got nicked, little b******s!!
^^^ are they superleggeras on the black clio, they look well nice :)
Also, a question about lowering 60mm on 17's:
...will the car start grounding out as soon as i have passengers in car?
yeh, i bought it off ebay for £130 from a bloke who'd had it for 1 month but hadn't installed it. £330 new so think i gotta bargain :D
He got it from caraudiodirect in a 0.5 cu. ft sealed enclosure, meant to deliver really tight, accurate and powerful bass so i can't wait to hook it up with amp.
