not sure how it works with that nakamachi hu.
wots the product code, name?
for £250 you can get a real decent set of speakers.
But i would recommend spendin say £150-£200 on speakers, then some on sound deadening, decent wiring etc...
Good place to go is http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ and...
my amp arrived today! £65 off ebay :D
I'm just waitin on my boston acoustics G5 10" sub now  (also off ebay)
Should sound pretty schweett :approve:
Has anyone heard one of these subs befor, i'm curious to know wot i should expect from it.
I know that Boston are really big in...
My system currently consists of:
Boston G5 10" sub
Alpine mrd m500 mono amp
4 guage wiring
lookin for new headunit amp front comps:
...maybe alpine Alpine 9835 hu and rainbow speakers??
get a DECENT HEADUNIT, 13CM COMPS AND A 10" SUB RUNNING OFF A MONO AMP (SORTED)
Or even better run the front comps off an amp as well if you really want a decent system but thats only if you're spendin £120+ on them.
6x9s are a complete waste of time, and sound sh*t!!!
that's quite good mate. I'm paying £900 fully comp as a named driver on my mum's insurance for my 99 1.2 8v with Tesco.:dapprove:
Be warned though, if you do hav a crash your mum won't be amused if she loses no claims.
As i found out yesterday.:mad...
just had a call from the place that's lookin at the car to assess the damage and they can't take it in till the 27th
Plus itl take another 2 weeks for it 2 eithr b repaired or for the payout check to come through. So i'm gonna b without a car for fu*kin ages,
as my insurance didnt...
someone's coming out to quote repair tomorrow so i'll find out then if it's a write off.
It sounds bad but i hope it is becos everything seems to be goin wrong the car lately plus theres already some body damage to the other side.
it couldve been alot worse.
Luckily i'd registerd the roads were slippy and the corner was dodgy, so i was drivin a lot slower than usual.
If i had been going faster i would've lost the car completely as the slide was so sudden and then i'd hit a lampost on the corner.
I can't recommend...
look what i just did
slippy off camber bend plus crap tyres equals large drifting action!
I kinda over corrected and veered into a large stumpy hedge.
Worst bit is i wasn't driving fast,:S the back end just went and that was that.
All offside panels need replacing plus bonnet...
Somehow i doubt it thrashes most 12's! :dapprove:
Dunno mate, you're best off shopping around. Like anything you get what you pay for with subs.
Look around on ebay, there are bargains to be had.
I bought a 10" Boston Acoustics G5 off there the other day for £140! (Worth £330 new) Only 1...
can't believe that's still for sale m8,
saw in redline and it's bin for sale for bloody ages. suprised no ones snapped it up yet.
Nice lookin motor, someone should grab a bargain
You will need a steering control adaptor available at http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3474&cadid=638e184013c1bb4bd6d1e29c980093d2
The headunit will fit straight in.
Try buying it from car audio direct, should be cheaper than buying direct from alpine.
Hope i've...
106 GTI's handle like go-karts!!!
my mates got a 1.4 quiksilver and that can handle amazingly:eek:
not very quick at all but could outhandle a lot of cars.
In a straight line your's should leave that pesky gti for dead though:dead:
i've already found one of interest.
2001 Y plate 1.4 16v alize, 60k, 3 door in met. blue, air con, CD, EW, FSH, 172 alloys:) (i think)
It's up for £2995 IS THAT ABOUT THE RIGHT PRICE???
