Oh dear, can happen, happens a lot to fleet vehicles.
Saw a brand new derv land rover and the guy full tanked it to petrol in Morrison's the other week. Should have heard his pals laughing and him swearing to the sky.
Wee update there.
Its DONE. yep DONE.
Only problem is it has an electrical fault internally. Basically I think there is a bad earth I cannot locate. Test lamped, changed stalks, checked earths I have, nothing. Frustrating to say the least.
Considered taking the dash out to find the fault, but...
TOday was eventful. Manifold drilled, bolted in. Downpipe on, rear exhaust section on. Middle section, need exhaust clamps. Once have them, done.
Driveshaft in on passenger side, bolted in at gearbox end,fluid needs filled now. Hub end what size of nut is it? 24?
Other fuel leak sorted...
I never took your calipers. From mat Brown years ago.
Anyway great link age sorted. Fuel line sorted.
Starter sorted.
Car starts. Whoop.
So manifold drilling tomorrow and caliper replacement and is done.
Well some work was done today. Electrical problems but all sorted. Some oxidation in the harness plug sockets. Quick brush up. Fuel line connected. Let's go for it.
Click click click. Oh dear. Starter is done. New one ordered for tomorrow. New battery. Oils from Opie oils arrived today. Caliper...

Some 6 months of neglect coming up.
So its all all, fluids are in, just need to get the radiator fan connected.
Get the gearbox clevis sorted.
Only casualty is the caliper, its seized, not to worry, one ordered.

I have time.
Pulled the car out, lovely I left the HB off and the front calipers have seized. So will have to resolve that tomorrow so at least it rolls. Ill be trying to get as much done on this as possible tomorrow. Early start tomorrow..

I consider what you say, but in the back of my mind, I wanted a newer engine (2008/2009 engine TDCI) it was clear, but still didn't want anything new or shaven in the oil circulating around at the bottom.
Just me being mental, but id rather have it done so I knew I was good.
