maybe i'll just go for the 116+vat for the reno complete aux kit then... you think its worth it? done 73k... although the pulleys seem in ok condition.
Are these the same across the mk2 clio range? do they appear on any other renault models of similar age? my car is a 182 with air con... so need it for that.
thinking scrap yard or are they cheap from renault (haha)?.
So I am doing the cambelt change on my 182. I have the camshafts locked off using the special renault tool at the gearbox end. I have taken the timing belt off.
The exhaust cam is nicely locked, you can't turn it left/right, no play in it, as its fully locked off.
The inlet cam has a...
anyone got the part numbers for the pulley seals then? I'd like to have them just incase I do the 'slacken ervything' method :) do GSF/ECP sell these or is it a reno only part?
I'm failing to see how slackening everything can be of any advantage? :S Is it a quicker/easier method or something?
Once the tensioning of procedure 2 (no slacken method) is complete, and the engine has been turned over a good few times, if everything lines up correctly, then surely...
Aye that is what i'm trying to do... get the facts behind my decision first though.
I don't see the "slacken" route as being much extra work... just think its odd renault would provide 2 methods if 1 of them was defective?
I wouldn't assume some of those above use the slacken method btw.
Why would Renault provide 2 methods if one (procedure 2) was going to lose power/result in the timing being out?
Once the engine has been turned over a few times then tension (between exh and crank) will be evenly distributed. It then tells you to check and make sure the timing is still all...
As title suggests. I passed a black 182 with cliosport sticker whilst pulling on to the M27 J9 (Whiteley/Segensworth) last week, can't remember the day/time.
Can't have missed me I was in the William's with blue wheels.
Only other Williams around these parts that I've seen is M*** GBE. Can't miss mine as it has blue wheels, down fleet end road, u live around here now then?
Cheers for those pictures Dunc. That was me in the Williams with the blue speedlines tripoding at the end there. That was the last 30mins of the day when it was nice and dry... There you can see me and the French guy with the 197 going at it for quite a few laps! Probably the best fun I had...
haha i thought it was you ! yes i was following you... well, at least until J11 :D
The williams is dead. :(
Sand in the engine... long story... anyway its currently being rebuilt. Not driven it for about 7 weeks now... absolutely gutted.
