Think that is one reason why the prices of decent williams will not drop.
Just have to keep an eye out for the even cheaper ones with slight accident damage and try and beat infinicar to it!;)
Mat.
But the winning bidder on that engine is now banned so i doubt it went for £1.2k.

Interior went the other day...
Dont think anyone will pay £1k+ for a high mileage willy engine same as i doubt anyone would pay £400 for 2nd hand suspension components with unknown mileage.
Are you sure these Willys for £2-3k are decent examples?
Mat.
When i asked they said no (Elephant).
Might be worth trying a different place that specialises more in classics.
Footman James?

Mat.
Yeah,
Need to remove stereo and surround first, then the there might be a strip underneath panel depending on year and then just 2 screws at the bottom of it.
To avoid scratching it, push it inwards then guide it down at an angle.
Mat.
Yeah,
I had one done in red on my old 16v, was a friend who did it and he just scanned it from the original.

If you have skinny hands you can just about reach it with the scuttle panel in place but to make it easier i would remove it.
Once that is out of the way it is nice and easy, just take the plug out (worth just trying some WD40 in this first) then its 2 screws i think.
Mat.
To remove the spare wheel cage you might have to jack the rear end up or park with your back wheels on top of a kerb as you need the get the cage quite low, once the have the hooks lines up with the holes you will need to push the cage up slightly and then remove to the right, watch for the two...
Can you not reach up behind the passenger side of the dash from the footwell and pull them out of the way?
Thinking about it i seem to remember i had to use some string when fitting my HU in the Cup.
Mat.
Yeah,
I had to sell my Cup to fund a house purchase but have always preferred the look and feel of the mk1s, if i had hindsight i would have kept my 2.0 valver but do love my Willy.
