ive got a mk2 ph1 rsi very good car can get between 25-35mpg normal driving on a long run had it up to 42 mpg.
goes very well for what it is.
the rsi is like a mini 172 1/2 leather aircon trip comp ect
the rsi can be picked up for £500-£1200
not to loud nice tone.

the blocks (tdi-tread wear indicators) in the groves of the tread. they are at 2mm so would be still legal if level 1.6mm is the minimum over the centre 3/4.
the pollen filters under the offside scuttle in the box few small bolt head screws to remove the lid.
all running/driving fine just need a remap now.
just finished giving it an exterior detail.
you dont need to remove the wiper arms to change the pollen filter the scuttle splits just before the wiper therse a clip near the fire wall.
older ph1s dont need type-d coolant.
its not £380 profit it covers wages,insurance,company overheads ect.
most mechanics get around £10 an hour wage.
think of what you charge for a driving lesson and after you takes out ur expenses for fuel,insurance,wage ect how much profit is left.
the wear markers are at 2mm minimum legal limit(and mot limit) is 1.6mm across the centre 3/4 of the tyre so should be fine as long as ur not doing thousands of miles in the next few days.
have a janspeed on my 1.6 16v sounds great very deep and low tone.
sure the 1.2 1.4 and 1.6 use the same system so may fit.
