didnt the early 197's suffer from silly high revs in 6th gear? if they did then you may aswell stick to a 1*2 it would do my nut in that.......

just about to order the hose which goes from the engine to the end of the filter. what size is it in mm and what bend will i need ie. 45 degree or 90 ? have seen lot of these hoses in a thread and they look great any help would be great thanks

For me they look odd on 15's. Stick with 16's I say. I know people say 15's tyres are cheaper but if u can't afford 16's tyres then maybe you shouldn't buy a clio lol

I feel sorry for u but buying a car with a cambelt change is worse than not having one changed at all! 95% of garages I know of cannot or would not know how to change one on a 1*2 and if they did the timing would be wrong. Thought about a rebulid or not? How bad is the damage

You don't need to spend lots on these cars if they are being used on the road. Some of the advice on here sounds like u have just brought a 1.2 lol Sharpen things up, why get new dampers if your old ones are fine. Upgrade as things wear out that's what I would do. I.e brakes, tyres etc...

Maybe think about getting the bits sprayed as you go along? I have slowly got to mine as 1 or 2 people have hit me but it did me a favour as I got new paint and got rid of the dents at the same time I have a really good body shop work on my car just last week if you want to check him out...
