What would you guys do if you just planned on carrying the car to track days. Not going in the road at all. Currently pay £450 with Flux for limited mileage on my cup. I've only covered around 200 road miles this year. It seems pointless having it on the road. Car is stored in the workshop

Gonna fit a DCI rack with EPAS while I'm there as I believe it's the rack that's gone. Strip it this wknd

It's fine for trackdays if fitted correctly. It's well made TBH. Some will say it's not the correct grade of steel for a cage. But I'm not racing, I just try to drive around tracks ;-)

I believe mine is too heavy to be the rack bushes as well, even with the car in the air it's a really loud knock coming from the rack area

Did you ever solve this issue? My car does the same noise, I presume it's the steering rack bushes?

Cheers for the positive comments :-) Trying to resolve a knocking issue at the moment. Though it was the Bilsteins the other night while driving. But it's coming from the steering rack. Hopefully new bushes will solve it

Got a hold of a lightweight battery the other day, installed it under the passanger seat. Got some wiring from maplins, need a couple of connectors to finish it off. I'll let the photos do the talking - Got this on order as a cut off switch / trip

I find the easiest way is to remove the front bumper and reach in. Had to butcher the filter removing tool as well
