Are you sure this already has the bearing pressed in? If it does, it it should be ok to put on as just the one, no need to put two on. providing it's the correct one.

Am I correct in thinking the termostat which takes takes the temp for the needle is encased somewhere where it allows the coolant to run around/through it to take the temps? Could it be that this is busted.. and has a duff seal an maybe trickling out tiny bits at a time while it's hot and under...

Mines got the same mate. Car will run normal. Temp will go upto half way as normal then just drop Down to bar 2 or 3 pretty quickly then just pick up slowly again, but it'll never get back to half way point. My heating also doeant work... f**k it was a cold winter :( still is! My water pump...

how much have u sunk into ure clio Minus all the petrol and insurance.. Spent £750 buying it and fixing do far I've only spent £140 quid (including full winter service, fan belts alt belt an few odd bits) Got it booked in on the 8th to get its belts and water pump done for £180 so grand total...
