It's about £180 to get it all done, at least it was a year or two back. You will be fine driving down there, I would only begin to worry if you can hear loud knocking.

The question is what car it is for, I'm guessing your 172 Cup? What sort of Polisher have you got? French paint is fairly soft compared with German paint so dependant on the harshness of the swirls, I would recommend using a Menerza/Sonus Compounding or Finishing Pad with Menerza Final...
Brilliant job Jim, first reading your correction threads a year or two ago now, I have been practicing and practicing with my DA and newly acquired Silverline on quite a few cars now (think around 35) I'm looking to start my own mobile detailing business when I get back from travelling (March...
Awesome, love my GTI, have my induction kit coming in the post tomorrow so looking forward to fitting that along with my supersprint decat pipe and magnex backbox :) Great fun aren't they!
I don't know if I speak for anyone else but I prefer my gti to the 172 I had. Was a third of the cost to buy, 3 times more fun and 3 times cheaper to repair!
Oh yeah I know that JD, but my Celica was a lot bigger than a Polo so it kind of balances out the use. In the OP he also says he doesn't think it's VW paint either.
It will probably save his life too if he was in an accident as they are made out of paperbags, would be more stupid to not have a full body cage in it if he is serious about tracking it...
Looks really good bud, keep it up, I know how annoying it can be working on these things in the crap...
Lol well you should ask Renault the same thing then, regarded as cheap but have a £600 cost to get all belts and tensioners etc. replaced on the RS Clio...
I have owned a Ph2 172 and driven my friends ST170 and have to say that the gearbox is much better in the ST170 as was the seating position (but we all know that's crap in a 172 anyways). For outright pace, even though mine was regarded as the 'Full Fat' RS Clio, it still shifted a fair bit...
Fair enough, I love my GTI, have owned a 172 PH2 and an MX-5 and I find the GTI to be more fun than both (Clio not as chuckable but the better car/MX5 underpowered).
Project looks good bud, keep up the good work, I will have to put mine up on here at some point.
My old man has just bought this: http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/product/1000120234/samsung-le40c750-40-lcd-3d-tv.aspx
It's a brilliant TV, because of the 3D upscaling, everything looks more 3-Dimensional even on Terrestrial Channels, you feel like you are on the set watching the programme/film being...
Hehe it was a Celica ST182 guys :)
To the OP if it is just oxidation in the paint, it can be polished out, however you will need to use a UV filter based sealant afterwards to prevent the fade from returning, in some cases you may even need to get the bonnet re-laquered to ensure the fade...
