Lol I know I know, I need to add that to the list, was going to get JDM style plates anyway :)
OCTOBER LIST:
- Driver's Mirror.
- Numberplates.
- I4Detailing Products.
- Decat.
- Purchase springs.
Once these modifications have been done, it's just brakes and then tidying up the...
Cheers mate, I will get a decent vid up when I have my de-cat fitted :) At the moment it's a little boomy and not really raspy enough, shame I didn't get an earlier version of the car as pre-August 1992 cars can roll with de-cats :p
Thanks for the nice words :)
Oh yeah I know what you mean, when I used to work on my Polo even though it was a 1.0l, sod all space in it, was a nightmare.
I'm a sold Japanese fanboy now, I don't think I will go European again, possibly BMW but that's about it.
Coming along really nicely mate, engines with boost look complicated to a novice like myself but I can't wait to have a turbo in my life :)
Think my first will be one of these as you awesome example has swayed me - keep it up! :)
Here's a couple more piccies of how the Celica is getting on, not epic but a lot better than before :)
As I said, the exhaust does need readjusting so it sits a little higher up so I will get that sorted in a few weeks.
The Shopping List for the next month includes:
-...
I'm pretty annyoed that the paint is beginning to fade again now :( I used a bit of SRP by hand and it seemed to bring the shine back so just need to wait a month to get some UV protective sealant to stop it coming back.
Next is another hard PC session, also a decat pipe and lowering springs...
As promised, here are a few pictures, they are definately not very good lol, I will get some more as soon as I can.
Let me know what you guys think :) I will try and grab some better ones tommorrow!

UPDATE TIME :)
Ok well i decided to go for the exhaust next instead of springs as it was blowing like a b***h so i went on a trip to cardiff and got myself custom made 3.5inch catback system made by charlie which i think suits it perfectly as the jdm bean can won't sit right down to the design...
Argh I don't know how to get rid of it?! I have deleted a load of photos on my account but it hasn't gone. HELP! lol
I'm sorry Dan :( Fail on my part and photobucket's pathetic allowance!
Thanks with the amount of time it took, I'm glad it did! Loving the 200 btw :)
If I do get bored/find another project, may put it up for sale so hope to at least fetch 1000 for it, probably being optimistic but we shall see.
Thanks for all the kind words guys :) I do have a favour to ask...
**UPDATE TIME**
Big day today in the improvement/modification of the Celica…the wheels!
I know they will not to be everyone’s favour but I think they look quite good on the Celica, kind of an OEM look to them, possibly how the car should have came out like, well that’s what I feel like anyway...
Thanks buddy :D Have to make sure I protect it soon with a sealant with a UV sheild in it or it will creep back, quicker than you would think as well :(
Lol your going to hate me but I got them and to be honest they aren't my perfect wheels for the it but they are pretty awesome, the issue is the nuts being too long and the fact the car need lowering more than a tad, it needs the springs being left off :(
Hope your words tasted good :rasp...
Thank you very much :) gave me the perfect idea so I went and got the wheels, they look awesome but the OEM nuts are too long so stick out by about an inch :( so more spending needed :P
Thanks Rob :) I have found the bodyshop I'm going to use to get the dent out and respray the wing and bumper now so hopefully November it will be in a much nicer state, just in time to seal it ready for the winter :) Keep coming back, it will keep getting better I promise :D
Ta very much :)
Yeah it has come out well so far, still have the laquer peel on the roof but it's a lot less noticeable and have now sorted a pay issue I had at work so an extra bit of money for the springs in two weeks :)
Yeah I'm warming to it quite a lot actually, definitely not as...
Yeah to say the least I was relieved to see that the paint could come out so well, not 100 per cent but a lot nicer :) I'm excited about the wheels, think they will change the car completely but it will be a very long day, worth it in the end I think. Will be getting the springs in two weeks so...
Ok another update now as promised to you guys :)
After getting increasingly annoyed/embarrassed by the state of paint I was 100% determined to get it corrected as best I could in the small time frame.
So out came the Karcher pressure washer and the Celica was blasted to get rid of all the...
I know what you mean bud, I would probably get bored of it quite quickly but since I'm going travelling, I'm sure I can keep hold of it at least a year :) depends if a nice cheap ST185 project comes up
Lol I'm not stranger, my old Eunos was awful :(
Yeah they do shift quite well for how immensely heavy they are as a car, but I'm not after speed really just something with a bit of character which is what I believe this car has :)
Checked all under the sills and arches, in the boot etc. all rust free, just the door and wheels suffering from...
