Always the way though isn't it, I had to get a replacement steering wheel and filter when I got mine and the cambelt etc as well!! cost a right bomb! Yeah it's definately money well spent, it's a Ktec Recessed Supersport one, got it fitted by Ktec themselves, in about 45 minutes all for £329...

Yeah the R53 is the Supercharged version and the R56 is the Turbo one, both really nice drives and alot better made than the 1*2 but i still love my 172 :)

I have had this problem for a month now and put it down to cheap Renault materials and but it had got progressively louder and when i give it some to get on the m'way it rattles even louder. Sounds like it is coming from behind the centre console and its truly bugging me, only seems to crop up...
