Put the 18's back on today to give me a bit of clearance so I can drive it to the garage on Tuesday.
Nipped round the block for a couple more pictures.
The rear tyres have rubbed right through the paint on the rear, so will have to get that sealed. Only done about 23 miles in it since fitting...
Standard springs going back on, will just get some coilovers in the new year and do the job properly. Probably not polished, just a really bright flakey silver I think.
Apex springs Dave, not the best I know but didn't pay much for them and thought I'd try them!
Apex dude, so nothing great...
It's a good 25mm lower on the rear than in the pics above, they've sagged that much!
Rear arches scrape if you drive over a matchstick sized obstacle.
You can't even get your fingers between the arch and the rear tyres, not even the pinky!
Completely undriveable and I've ruined the car :(
At...
Thanks dude.
The diffuser will be painted silver for the most part, only the carbon surround for the exhaust will remain carbon, I was just too impatient to get it on the car and have a look rather than waiting for it to be painted. Will be a lot more subtle once done.
Lol!
Wheels will stay as they are until next year when the weather brightens up a bit. Although I could either stick with these silver, refurb one of my sets of 18's, some CSL's or some BBS RS reps. We'll see.
Rides surprisingly well too, just the scraping from bumper that's not good!
It doesn't look as drug dealerish in person, but I do get why people say it to be honest.
The wheels are anthracite but just pretty dirty at the minute so look darker; they're only winter wheels too.
Personally I want it to be higher up on some really shiny silver wheels, so will probably go...
First up was a CSL carbon rear diffuser, still need to get the surround to it sprayed up in the next week or so, but should look a lot nicer from the back.
Then managed to get a set of springs for it and fitted today, dropped it a lot more than I expected!
Not sure if it's a bit too low...
Finally got mine sorted today.
Going to get a works phone, transfer my number onto that contract and then just have to live out the remaining 6 months on my current orange contract.
Wouldn't bother me too much but my iphone4 has seen better days and is playing up a lot so time to get rid, and...
I only bought the 19's due to the winter tyres, not the looks!
will probably end up with another set of aftermarket 18's over winter ready for the nicer weather.
Probably a bit early for the tyres yes but the rears on my 18's were done anyways and I do a lot of my driving early morning and...
I bought them as they are, freshly powdercoated. Mainly anted them for the nearly new winter tyres that are fitted. I think silver would look better though.
Got some new centre caps on order too as the old ones are a bit rough.
I think it looks a lot higher on the bigger wheels, so after its...
Fitted my 19's this afternoon since the weather is starting to turn rubbish.
Initial thoughts are the winter tyres are a lot noisier and feel the bumps more, but looks a lot better and will be safer so I'll live with that!
Old v New
2 months in I'm still loving it, best car by a...
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
To save a new thread maybe someone can help me!
I'm 7 months from upgrade with my 4, but it's really playing up so I need to get rid. If I bought a sim free 5 from apple, could/would orange supply me with the smaller simcard with my current...
Late reply, thanks for the info.
Suppose thinking about it now the heat thing is an obvious one!
I gave them a couple of coats so hopefully it will at least help with the cleaning over the winter!
Whats the main difference between the 2?
I want to get a few coats on my winter wheels today but only have normal Poorboys wax, is there a big difference?
I didn't park there, just pulled up as there were no cars knocking about and wanted a couple of pictures!
I know quite a few disabled people so never park in disabled no matter what, the engine was still running and windows open!
I love the Depos, grills and small plate so they're all staying...
These are proper winter tyres, not just rain specific. I understand they're going to be worse grip wise than my summer conti's but they're on some 19's that I've bought and I'm too impatient to wait until the bad weather before I fit them!
Gave the car a weekend of loving since the weather was nice down here.
Started with a quick wash and clay/de-tar on Saturday afternoon, interrupted by cleaning my mates Focus ST! Then finished it off this afternoon with a quick blast of SRP and some Chemical Guys wax, glass polished, wheels...
Just bought a set of wheels and winter tyres for the M3, never really bothered previously as if it was really bad I just wouldn't drive, but I think they'll be needed this year with doing more miles too!
I've done this with most cars, helps keep a track of everything properly.
Although I'm probably a bit worse as I've got it on excel so it's easier to look at when selling too!!
