Say what now?? lol. I did a weekend them a while back, probably about this time last year. Are you reffering to the "in house" provided disco? we erm.. stayed away from that lol!
Fitted my CL pads back on today but retrofitted some anti rattle clips for anyone whos interested, not the neatest job, but they worked perfectly :)
Shitty mintex pads removed from car, the clip pop off using a screwdriver and hammer pretty easy. Drill holes in CL pads, hit new clips in :)
I'm biased because i have one, but its a no brainer IMO. Ktec GEN90, plug and play dont have to touch the loom, drives the stock DBW throttle (if you have a ph2). But its by no means cheap!
Yes this is correct, max throttle capped based on RPM, as a way to limit boost.
That cant be the case though? check my 271bhp graph, the boost, although no where near as bad as some peoples graph, the boost still tapers off towards the end meaning the wastegate must be big enough to deal with...
I dont think they work like that bud... How would oil sat in the sump somehow be pumped up to the dashboard of the car where the pod is measured?? I don't know how they work but id be inclined to say the sender is heated and then the tube bbehind is sealed with air that expand / contracts with...
HI Steve thanks for commenting.
Regarding the boost, yes its slightly strange setup, it works well but does have some compromise.
The turbos only control is through the actuator, there no not bleed valves or manual boost controllers. THe actuator is a brand new -31 costworth garrett one rated...
Im not sure it would be as great as you think on track, i think id personally stick to N/A for a track car IMHO. Its cost me about £3.5k, £500 of that i probably wasted on crap i didnt even need. Needs about another £1k to take it to its final 300bhp spec, then im done with "tuning" for a while :P
Haha no plans to add 17's. Glad to see your old turbo still has some backbone after 6 years!? I had a brief look at the underside of your car at Ktec today, got yourself quite some project there fella!
Im knackered so i wont go into details, ill do a write up tommorow.
First power run @ ~12.5psi
Backed down to 0.7bar to be safer.
Good figures im sure you will agree, but i have no doubt whatsoever people will question them and say they are BS.
It does go like a scalded cat though :race:
I live in the dark ages, my £10 samsung mobile doesnt have internet capabilitys unfortunately :P I won't be home to update until at least 8-9pm id imagine. You'll just have to wait! :P
AEM UEGO setups are half decent and cheap, can be used as a wideband or narrowband input into the ECU meaning you can do away with the standard lambda sensor all together.
