Re: just got my clip sport think it needs a gearbox mount already need help on which
Welcome!
I would check for engine movement first, my money would be on the top engine mount. Ktec do a solid one to replace it (they also do a gearbox mount but don't waste your money), also you can buy...
I stumbled acorss that BMW vid last year and remember repeating it about 10 times, Sounds like an absolute monster. I'd definitely move out of it's way!
My f4r engine has done 60k on LPG, not popped any valves or other nasties. Ford engines are known to be expensive on LPG, never heard a bad thing about renault engines.
interesting!
I'm a member on a BMW E30 forum and the chaps on there that have used them say they melted - must have been cos the beamer is a heavier motor then.
I think that's more of a side effect (haha like what I did there?) than a specific advantage. Think it's mainly cosmetic, and to help them avoid rubbing with 120mm drops lol
LOL. having done it my advice to the OP would be to not do what i did but to just buy a complete Engine and manifolds etc from a phase 1 172 and just swap the whole thing in one go.
Lol I have thought that when I've seen your name in other threads! Most forums I go on my user name is James90 - dunno why I picked 23 on here.
You must have had some loud cars!
camskill are the cheapest I find, buy them from there ant ring up/go round a few local tyre garages and ask them to fit and balance. £10 each is taking the piss though most will do it for £5.
I would have mate but don't have the spare time atm, my last assignment of the year is 16th dec so after that I'll have a bit of time lol
When can I get this stereo or have you flogged it lol
Yep - £27.99 I've used them a few times with no probs, quite a few ppl have problems though - google alloy wheel courier you'll see what I mean. I've always found them spot on and quite helpful on the phone if you have to ring them for something
17kg with a tyre. I know because I've just had to sort delivery of one! I thought they were meant to be light too.
my 17" nervasports with 205 50 17 tyres only weigh 19.6!
A mate of mine has just got some dunlop sp sport maxx in 205/55/16 from camskill for £61 notes each and rates them so far, not sure what the wear is like yet obv. but if you're buying tyres to last you need to be forking out extra for michelins. Buy from camskill and get someone local to fit -...
Most places will will sell you a peugeout 406 kit (NWP did to me) and it doesn't fit properly - the bolts aren't long enough! So yeh - as has been said - get one from renault
