I thought the only 'special' intervals were the 36k(aux belt) and the 72k(timing + aux belt). Im not sure when they recommend to change spark plugs but i do this at every service anyway.
Brake fluid every 2 years and coolant flush every 4 years too?
took me the best part of half an hour to remove them without damaging them... and I only did that cos i'd just put them in that day else i'd have just paid the £11 something plus vat for a new pair.
The bit that is in the picture is what you will get and this screws/bolts into a plastic housing that connects to the back of the inlet manifold. you'll need to unscrew/bolt your old one and replace it with the new one, not sure if they'll give you the rubber o-rings with your new one so if they...
I think they do a haynes maual for your car - check on their website and you will probably be able to buy one at halfords.
Stuff you need:

If you want to go a bit further with it you can also do:

Just sat here and read this thread from the beginning.

I thought the idle control valves were meant to make a noise?
when testing both of mine they make a sort of an agressive vibrating/wobbling kind of noise. Try using a tank of v-power (or whatever super unleaded you have there), from what i've read on here it's helped with peoples idles.
As you've got no other symptoms i'd guess its your temperature sensor that's faulty...?
Someone will come along in a minute with a few suggestions im sure.
tells the ecu what position the crank is at and so when to fire. its a black plastic 'thing' on a curved metal bracket on the right of the engine as you're looking at it, under the airbox and near the gearbox. It has wires going to it you cant miss it.
If your plugs are the bosch super 4 ones dont try and change the gap on them.. you cant really change the gap very accurately on multi electrode plugs.
Cant help you atm as I've uninstalled autodata which has quite a few wiring diagrams. Im sure someone will come along that has autodata and help you out. If not let me know and i'll reinstall if for you and see what I can find.
I put some blue leds in both the interior lights to try it and it was cack, far too dim and because it was blue light it seemed even darker cos of the poor colour rendering. Would only be ok with white leds but even then i dont think it would be bright enough.
Just leave them alone tbh. That's...
Just make sure when you put it back on that its sealing correctly.. make sure the ht leads go in the little dent that was made for them and you'll be fine.
Guessing from your later post you've found it but its on the right of your engine (as you're looking at it) its where a coolant pipe connects to your engine and there are 3 10mm bolts on the thermo housing.
I use silkolene pro s (now called pro race s i think) or motul 300v. Both fully synthetic (both ester synthetic actually) the motul is better but a fair bit more expensive.
