Hoses look good but I'd suggest a good two stage wipe down on the engine cover and all flat surfaces: hot damp cloth to shift the thick dirt, cloth with a bit of turps to de grease and shine it up :)

Sounds easy enough. Did you just use any old silver paint rather than the iceberg? And did you do a proper primer and lacquer job as well?

Ah yeah, I forgot you said it's green. It looks black in the pictures so that's what made me say black vinyl. You're right, that will be pretty difficult to match :(

So why exactly are the grab handles a ballache? Are there clips holding them on? Now I think about it, it would make sense for them to be held on by more than just a couple of torx screws.

Is this after you've removed the support strut and removed the bracket holding the two sides of the backrests together? Big gold torx bolt that the bracket slots on to? That shouldn't come off.

Liking the look of it already, wish I had a black one with that bumper. I'd look into vinyl wrapping all your black plastic parts (bumper strips, side bump strips and bullets, mirror surrounds) to colour code for around a tenner. Hopefully you can find a similar black if painting is expensive...
