This is looking damn nice dude! Looks like a lot of knowledge and hard work went into this, and I'm guessing a fair few of Her Majesty's notes.
Anyhoo. Few questions here since I'm after a lot of info before lowering my dci:
1) Very nice drop, how far down is it? Is it practical with speed...
Would anyone happen to know what would happen if I were to use springs designated for other engine sizes on a 1.5 dci? I figure they will need to be for the same marque (mk2 ph2), and some say "except 1*2 and 16v" for example, but is there much of a difference?
I'm talking to a guy breaking his...
Morning campers,
Basically I'm thinking of putting 40/50mm lowering springs from a 172 onto a 1.5 dci 65.
Is this retarded/dangerous or workable? Both are mk2 ph2s, but I'm no suspension expert so any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks :)
Looking tidy mate, good to see someone else repping the diesel crew :D I'm looking at a 40mm drop, no idea on what springs to get though. Have you had any pointers/advice about them?
I got a garage to fit mine mate, best to get an auto electrician to do them if youre even the slightest bit unsure. Not questioning your knowledge but there's that much wiring going on there's a lot to potentially go wrong. Plus the tapping will look decent when done professionally with proper...
Yeah mate that's me, the Dci haha. I work in the Wilkos you were parked outside so I just caught a glimpse and thought I'd post :) where abouts in Notts are you from?
Hey sports fans, I wonder if anyone could help me out. I've got Team Dynamics Jets, gloss black paint finish (from the factory, not a bored sunday afternoon).
I hastily scratched round for a specific cleaner that won't eat the paint off before my eyes, but upon realising Wonder Wheels U...
Cool, I was hoping I wouldn't have to be so snappy and whatnot just because I'm a CS freshman. I do love me a good banter, so I'll lighten up! Sound mate :)
I try not to be, my apologies. I'm getting mixed signals on how to take people's comments since I haven't been met with much of a good reception so far. I dunno, is it all part of the initiation rights, or am I just getting defensive?
Thanks for being one of the few sincere people on this forum. I might be a complete noob, but thankfully I've got thick enough skin to be able to deal with some of the snarky sons of guns on here.
Needy and random as a guy can get, I know. I drove up on a whim after stopping at Newark, then arranged to meet a mate who lives in Lincoln to chill with him. Only he ended up being in Newark by the time I got to his way...blah blah blah. Just a random one to see if I could get a bit of...
Hai, forgive the possible r****d question. Patience and helpful advice is appreciated :)
Basically I'm not so keen on the mk2 ph2 bumper I'm rocking: the toothy looking one, sans foglights (blanks covered with cheeky sticker bombing because Euro). So, if somehow I can acquire a mk2 phase 3...
Thanks for your help guys :) I'm gonna stick to 5.25s for space saving, since I have nowhere to put an amp because I carry so much stuff.
I keep seeing speakers mentioning 2 way coaxial 4 Ohm and s**t like that: since electrical related stuff means absolutely nothing to me, is there anything I...
Is it really a case of find the slots and whip them off with a screwy? Having a flick through the Haynes manual left me thinking I had to remove a daft amount of trim panels on the 3dr.
Apologies for bringing this thread back from the dead, just searched the subject matter on Google rather than directly on CS.
Anyhoo, are there more options for speakers that just plug and play into the standard connector in the door? Also I've seen matched pairs, but are the rear ones any...
Y helo thar. I love to vent on the internets.
I just want to try and get this across to a lot of people, as I'm certainly not the only driver in this frame of mind.
I can't put into words how much I hate people constantly saying "SLAM IT ON ITS ARSE!" "You should lower it" "Get rid of that...
Sound guys :)
Pub meet would be cool. If it's too cold to stand rubbing our respective junk looking at each other's cars, then we can sit talking about them over a nice warm pint and a cold burger. At the very least me and any fellow noobs can get to know the big dogs!
Sup everyone,

Want to start attending meets and whatnot, so particularly if you're from around Nuthall, Kimberley, Eastwood, Ilkeston etc or go to meets at Wyvern Retail Park, talk back or add me on facebook etc :)...
