Hi,
I know this is in the wrong forum, however, my membership has expired and with my car now written off and a sh*t payoff I will not be replacing it.
Got some parts if anyone wants, MAP sensor, Crankshaft sensor, Air Filter, Jack and some Renault leathers.
I am quite happy to give these...
I kind of expected that, was my initial thoughts also. Seems like a bit repair job.
I'd recommend staying clear, maybe going an extra lane away to go past! I'll be doing that going forward for sure..

That's right, I was only creeping padt as the limit was 60 at the time. Was very lucky, Im happy to come out unscathed to be honest. Been reflecting on life a little differently today!
Yes, it was damage from his cab. He has damage to the front right hand corner. The cab was red which helps, the trailer was blue so should be obvious to the insurance companies.
I'm just looking for some input whether anyone thinks it could be fixable within an insurance claim.
I'm not looking for driving lessons or opinions on how "bad" the crash was. Any other input is useless to me.
Yes, got both - luckily a couple of police officers came and got the details for me. I didn't realise that lorries had two sets of plates so was happy they did that for me!
Everyone knows the fast slow lane description. Though saying that I would have been better off hogging a lane!
European truck, not sure about cameras. He didn't speak very good English.
I was passing him, he was on the slow lane and I was in the 2nd lane of four. He's pulled out to overtake the lorry in front of him and obviously didn't see me and hit me in the mid and rear so I must have been just...
So it was a Spanish driver and lorry. According to the agent yesterday it's a nightmare to get these claims through. He admitted it was his fault to myself and the police. I also had a witness, so hoping it'll work out..!
hi guys,
I had a lorry smash into the side of me yesterday @ 60mph and almost spun into oblivion. Luckily I managed to keep hold of the car and not go under his wheel. I think it says more about the car than my driving.. anywho I've sent the pictures off to the insurance expecting a write-off...
Oh, and props to Mark Fish for ensuring it all the paper work was sorted in time and also with genuine concern.
Hadn't done this before so was sceptical (as you can see above) but it was actually pretty straight forward but I would suggest this was down to good service on both sides.
Well, I must say I had a nice surprise today (and generally over the course of the week). Renault Toomey Southend were great! Everything was ready and they knew I had travelled a fair way, so ensured the car was first on. No issues at all. Really pleased, couldn't have asked for anything more...
Yeah - The parts were purchased from Renault themselves, I've got the garage to phone the dealer as apparently they need to inspect it first.
I was hoping it would be a bit more straight forward.
Hi,
I've had OE Rear shocks fitted recently @ a specialist. I've got a leak from one of the shocks and need it replacing. Apparently you can do this under warranty of the item itself as an OE part.
Has anyone had this problem and resolved? Seems to be a ball-ache speaking to Renault directly.
Hi all,
I will be going to get my injectors changed at the weekend. Is it worth getting it serviced as well whilst it's there? I'm not sure how long this would take and whether it would be worth combining the two if the engine needs to be opened up anyways.
If so, I could buy the sparks and...
These any good?

Hi lads,
Anyone got any experience with these? This is more out of curiosity than anything else as I've seen them advertised a lot recently and they tend to command a fairly high price.
Not sure if you guys will care so much but I went with the Goodyear Eagle F1 AS 2 - I got them for 73 quid each and will stick the RS2's on the front for the winter and then get a second pair of AS2's next year.
I was going to change all four, but with money tight and a lot of tread of the...
hahah I know but if there were a few with similar reviews and stats I'd probably go for the ones that look the best, as sad as it sounds...
How are the AD08s when it is absolutely p*ssing down? I've done some reading and it seems like they are the nuts in the dry. Can't find any reviews from...
Thanks for all the responses guys, i'll see how my bank balance is in a weeks time and decide. There is a spanner in the works now with the Yokohamas, they look really cool and seem to have great reviews as well!
I'm sure i'll be happy with any of them but I am still slightly leaning toward the...
Hi all,
I've found Rainsport 3 XL for 60 quid a corner fitted and PS3's for 75 a corner. Would the Rainsports be better over the winter? I do a lot of driving at night over the winter and early in the mornings so frost/ice is an issue. I don't really want to replace them in the summer but want...
Hi guys,
Always done my tyres in a garage, though the online retailers seem to have better deals with their tyres and fitting vans.
How would you rate them compared to a normal garage? If you've had good experiences, which sites did you use? Same for bad...
I'm looking for 4x wheels and...
