Hi all,
Random one really, having recently purchased my 2005 Clio 182 does anyone else also feel the performance is a little bit sort of flat unless your ringing it's neck at 5k+ rpm?
Don't get me wrong its great fun as was my 2002 Clio 172 that I owned many years ago but I just feel they...
Yep one of mine was seized solid last week
Blow torch on the carrier for a minute and came straight out
Repainted carrier
Fittd new pin and all good as new
As title chaps I have a full fat 182 with the darker wheels fitted from factory
I prefer the wheels in silver so before getti g mine painted thought id ask if anyone is opposite and wanted to swap there silver for mine!
Must be straight and not kerbed as mine are almost spotless with exception...
Mk6 and mk7 Golf R both 4 cylinder mate 😂
Personal preference anyway a suppose but to me a debadged 172 could be mistaken for a 1.2 Dynamique 😊
Healthy banter :tonguewink::up:
182 everytime for me (30 years old)
Shame some think the 182 pipes look chav
Must be same for the Golf R32 and mk6 Golf R owners then and even worse for the mk7 Golf R with 4 pipes 😂:yum:
Sorry to hear about the write off mate but with all due respect ive owned both a 2002 low mileage 172 and now a 2005 low mileage 182 full fat and I can tell you the 182 is the better car to drive and look at plus its a few years younger
172's look booring in comparison to the 182 without that...
Morning all
Pair of rear shocks turnedup today for my ff 182
Am i right in thinking that if I leave car on ground I shoukd be able to just undo the top nut and bottom bolt then swap the shock over easily etc?
The new shocks are genuine renault parts so already have the bush etc fitted in the...
Hi
What are the standard figures for a 182? 176 bhp im sure I've read somewhere!
What have people been achieving on the rollers from standard 182's
Rolling road morning coming up in few weeks with few chaps from work so might throw the little clio on there
Anything from 150-180 I guess?
Hello all what should the warm idle be on a standard 182?
Mine seems to settle at around 700rpm when warm does this sound about right?
Idle quite low dont they if so?
Thanks
Matt
All done chaps
Bought a 3 leg type this morning and off it cam
Was very very tight though
No oil lost either which is a bonus
Full Service complete
Rear brakes changed
All caliper sliders checked and re-greased
Car washed, polished and waxed
Thanks again
:cool::up:
What's so crazy about it!
I drained the oil from Sump them came to remove filter but it wouldn't budge
That's generally the order you do an oil change on a car
Have put the fresh oil in and now hoping to swap filter out when I get suitable tool for the job etc
Thanks chaps ive tried a couple of different strap wrenches but no joy
Im going to hopefully get it off with one of the 3 leg universal ones that you use with a ratchet (link below)

Yes ideally would have waited but needed the car and never saw the filter removal as being an issue 😂
Will jack front of car up again too which should help
Just cant be bothered with dropping oil again and needing another sump washer!
Morning guys as title really
Will I be faced with a big mess if I don't drain the oil when removing filter?
Changed oil couple days ago but couldn't get filter off
Now have a decent wrench so ideally just want to swap the filter over and leave the fresh oil in there!
Thanks
Hi all
My recently purchased 182 has no locking bolts currently fitted on wheels
Anyone have any for sale or recommend a decent set that definitely fit etc
Lots on ebay but can't be sure they are right really
Is our bolts 12mm x 1.5 or 12mm x 1.25 ?
Thanks
Morning all
I recently blught a 55 plate 182
All original with original stereo still fitted etc
No sign of a cd changer or even the cable under passenger seat so assume it never had one fitted!
Question is can i buy some sort of cable to go from rear of stereo to my ipod possibly?
Any advice...
Thanks for reply
That's my thinking also and im preety certain they are the 10mm diameter ones also
Any recommendations on where to purchase or is ebay best bet?

Evening all
Been giving car a good check over and decided to check slider pins on front calipers
One was seized solid and rusted in etc
I managed to get it out and grease it up etc but would ideally like to get a pair of new ones for that caliper now!
Issue I have is looking on evay there...
Hi all,
Looking to change rear pads on my 182, ahave ordered some mintex pads, have heard the sliders etc can be problematic for sticking etc, any advice on whether I should be looking to grease it all up or replace sliders etc while im doing the pads?
Do the pistons generally wind back in ok...
Thanks again
Thought id paid slightly over odds looking at some others for sale although the prices seem all over the place!
Loving the little 182 though, owned a early 172 a few years ago, much prefer the 182 though
Also owned numerous other cars over the years including mk5 golf Gti's, mk1...
Recently bought a silver 55 plate full fat 182
68k miles
Service history
Retrimmed steering wheel
Belts and dephraser etc done last year along with new alternator and major major service
Recent goodyear tyres x4
Totally standard except miltek resonated system
Preety much spotless throughout...
