Hi all just a quick one, over the last few days when i get into my car and turn on blowers and aircon it smells awful like rotten eggs or similar but only lasts a minute or 2 then goes away? The car is a 2002 ph2 172 ive recently had the aircon re gassed and changed the cabin/pollen filter etc...

could probs find a meggy sport for near your budget now mate

not so sure about the clio's but my series 1 rs turbo used to pop and shoot huge flames out back when you shut off at around a ton lol

renault in chester qouted me £584 for the whole job on my 2002 ph2 172 thats all parts and labour with vat etc got my local garage to do it in end for £300 in end though as he a friend of my dads;)

bosch super 4 plugs are worst plugs on the market imo matey take them back seriously and get trhe ngk ones i threw my bosch plugs in bin after 1000 miles and went ngk :rasp:

autoglym super resin polish and a quick going over afterwards with some wax does me obviously wash car beforehand lol

mate dont even go there with the edition 30 they in a different leauge again to the standard golf gti think they 240 bhp from stock with bigger turbo etc too ko4 turbo instead of the gti's k03 unit, so easy to get silly power from them ie over 300 bhp no probs

I just sold a mk5 golf gti and got my 2002 ph2 172 due too being sick of huge finance etc and il say the gti is a lovely car but my 172 would be all over it and so much more fun to drive and 172 is worth a qaurter of the gti lol gti = too sensible

both virtually identical cars no noticable power difference tbh and if you search around you will find a low mileage 172 just as easy as a low mileage 182 just like my 2002 ph2 172 with 1 owner and 40k on clock lol:D

Ahh that be why my ph2 51 plate doesnt have it then, tbh im glad as it used to drive me crazy on my mk5 golf gti even when turned off it would still step in a little, good ridance i say. Now when i go sideways and survive i know it was down to me not electrics lol :cool:

hi all i cant work out how to use the headlight washers on my 2002 ph2 172 it also has xenons aswell if that makes any difference? soz to sound a bit thick been fiddling and cant work them out lol
