hi all, ive had my 2002 ph2 172 for a couple wweks now and ive still not seen the red light come on even when the fuel is barely registering on the gauge!
So its either that the red light is not working or im just too scared to let it get low enough to come on lol when should it come on and what...
yes i suspect so rory its getting that way with them already tbh i no where there is a immaculate 52 plate 172 in blue with 34k on clock up for £4400 ONO absolutely stunning car but only problem is that its a cup model so slightly quicker but no aircon etc trhats only thing that made me not buy...
Yes mate i would aggree with you there about wanting a standard one, when i was looking for mine if i seen one with a load of halfords junk hanging off it id just ignore it lol, these cars get thrashed anyway without buying one that looks thrashed by someone barely old enough to drive lol you...
Yes as already stated your gonna need a bigger budget matey.
This is what i bought a couple of weeks ago,

pointless its a 1.2 mate, as said earlier just flog it and get a 172 ph1 and use cash for your insurance surely thats the best mod for you or find a 1.6 engine etc imo
i have avon's all round on my 172 and they spot on in all aspects grip, wear, road noise etc and can be had for under £70 a corner= bargain especially in middle of a global recession lol
NO no mate i no the carpark that you are on about but not for me as do actually have a social life lol love all things cars but do prefer to be out on the town on weekend tbh. Come to think of it you sound like the kind of chap to hang out on pizza hut or mc donalds lol just messing, only...
Sorry i never knew we were sitting a exam lol its a forum i just type as it comes off tongue, soz you must be very well educated that would probably explain why your a coxk, full stops wont help you when your car fxxks up now will it hahaha
I no a clio doesnt compare to a golf gti with quality etc i owned one remember but that golf was 3 times more expensive than my 172 and less fun, and I no you never mentioned a normal civic type r in your list, i was just saying that they no quicker and im not thick i do no what a jdm model is...
5k for a mint 2003 172 with full history an 34k is a good price it wouldn't have been a showroom condition 182 for that price i don' think,
I paid £3995 for my silver 51 plate ph2 172 with 40k, one local owner, full renault history etc looks and drives like new tbh miles better than some that i...
well tyranical, ive owned a mk5 golf gti and a 2003 civic type r and now have a 2002 172 and can honestly say that off the line and on the bends the 172 would be all over both of them both, value and fun for money the 172/182 comes up trumps every time for me thats why i sold my dearer cars to...
hi all just a quick one, sometimes when i lock my 2002 ph2 172 with the fob it makes 3 high pitched beeping sounds but then other times it just locks without any sound at all so which is normal? oh and also very occasionally when i unlock it and open the door the alarm starts going off lol...
is the stripped out 172 cup really that much noticably different? ive not long had my 2002 ph2 normal 172 but kind of wish i test drove a cup now lol but was put off by lack of climate control etc as like my comforts yes yes call me a puff haha
2002 plate ph2 172 on 40k lol some of these high mileage cars make me think mine will last forever lol frogs must have done something right ey they cant stop bits falling off em but they seem to have got the hang of building truly great engines ie the important bit lol
so russ your saying that the cheapest 3or4 year old ed30 is 20k lol think your in the wrong job mate but then again you are talking about stealer prices lol and yes marky people who buy new car's are insane especially when its a clio lol, the 172 is a great cheap bit of fun whilst setting up...
no peak 19 we laugh at him because he paid 13k for a renault clio = insane lol
i was saying why would the guy buy a 197 when he could get a far better car for that sort of cash i had a 2006 mk5 golf gti edition 30 until a couple months but unfortunately had to sell up due to setting up home etc...
why get a 197 marky-f1 if he was going to spend 10-12k on a car only a fool would buy a clio lol my mate has a f1 197 we laugh at him and now he regrets buying it as its still just a renault clio lol stick with a tidy 172/182 for cheap reliable fun and for 12k think nice golf gti/r32 or focus...
why bother with silly aftermarket body kits in the first place just buy a nicer car and if you cant afford one then just drive a shed and save the money as the shed looks a even bigger shed with these kits on them anyway sprayed or not sprayed lol lol thats my advice to the strange primer crew...
wont be fuel starvation as drives ok and if was fuel it would be the other way round, would probably idle fine but cut out once revs were up and the demand for fuel is higher etc as already said mete sounds like a idle valve/sensor or similar so id get it plugged in 1st before replacing any parts
hi just a quick 1 i want to remove the clio badge on my 172, how do you get them off as dont no how to go about it without marking pain etc or are they stuck on with pins into the hatch ???
