Longer ratio box aint all that imo I've had both, an early 2006 197, and now have a 197 Cup. It probably helps 1/2 mpg if lucky imo
Pretty much everything has been covered, Cup packs are noticeable with red calipers and anthracite alloys, the Cup chassis came in mid 2007, so any 06/56 cars...
Not so sure on them, the pic looks right with the strut, and it specifically lists them as for 197, where as the ones you're thinking of just said 2.0 litre ;)
At least the 197 is cohesive............. ;)
I'd have one like, but much prefer the 197 face
See, an AG 200
remind me of
and, a 200 can never have this much presence, the nose is too pinched in with the black insert
The usual
Cambelt is due (5 years or 70k)
Check gearbox, must not be crunchy especially above 5000 rpm. If it is, its hooped
If brakes feel crap they are probably seized. The pads and pins in the fronts are prone to this. I get mine stripped down yearly. They should feel awesome.
Check...
Lovely, welcome to the elite ;)
Re the steering wheel trim, its for the normal 197 wheel.... It doesn't really fit the cup one as its thinner
Had an epic drive in mine yesterday, on the boil they really are superb. Mines V1 shod also
:)
Re: RENAULT ANNOUNCES THE CLIO RENAULTSPORT 200 CLIOSPORT.NET EDITION
Its s**t tbh, was expecting a MK 2 shell, turbo, colour coded diamonds/bullets and some ktec coilovers for the lowz
See, i'm not that sure, i'd need another go. Drove Steves (SBV116) 200 Cup back in the day, and yes the steering is better with the quicker rack, but other than that, not sure. Now weather its because his had a few 100 miles on it, and my blue 197 had around 30k and was shod with H&R coilovers I...
True, from here I still cant get over that join, horrific imo
However, from here it looks 'ok'
Still, its no looker compared to this, cohesive ftw
and 200 will never look this good
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
Going against the grain I feel the RS caps are a bit tacky if i'm honest, no need. Good choice on the rest of the spec though, it'll be a peach i'm sure :)
They seem to settle with age. When new they do have a forward rake, but for the rear end settles over time. If you like O.E, get some eibach prolines on there. No real drop, but will give it that forward bias again,
