They're not coilovers dude, but well spotted as they are a good option.
You need to check your bolt spacing before anything Mark to make sure you opt for the right size coilovers, H&Rs are supposed to be good, I have KWs and I really like them :)
You don't need to take the wheel off mate, just put your wheels on full lock and get a tape measure.
Measure from the bottom of the top bolt to the bottom of the bottom bolt, or top to the top.
*** UPDATE ***
A few weeks ago I purchased some KW Ultimate coilovers for the rep, had a bit of a problem fitting them due to one thing or another, but this weekend I managed to fit them properly.
The car handles 100x better with these on, it really is scary the difference that they make...
kiss it Luke! ;)
I thought that putting a caf in would be better than just havin the k&n induction sitting right next to the engine sucking warm air in.
did you get my text btw?
i've just ordered a k&n induction, mainly for the adaptor plate.
I want to pipe a caf but don't know where the best place to put it is?
I didn't actually know that it was possible to put a sport airbox in a non sport, how would this work?
sorry about all of the questions but when it comes to...
It definately doesnt do it stationary?
To change the top mounts round, you need an allen key set (cant remember the size), a 14mm 1/2" drive spark socket with the plastic middle bit removed, adjustable spanner and a pair of grips.
The allen key goes through the socket (on the top mount) to...
It is when you're moving mate or when stationary?
Have you tried swapping your top mounts around to see if it comes from the opposite side?
Also have you got anyone to sit in the car and turn the wheel to see if you can work out where about the noise is coming from?
A great canvas to start on mate :)
As for ideas, there's so much you can do but it all depends on what you like...You can be different or be a sheep and follow the set styles.
The 182 alloys are 16" mate and I've got them on mine, they look good and they ride well, 17" are too big imo and they...
Changed the bearing today mate and it made no difference, however I had missed out a black spacer that was needed in the setup. All sorted now and made up with the car :)
If you had spacers and you didn't fit them, that could by why :)
Fixed them!
Will was right in saying that the two black spacers were needed, I was told by someone else that they weren't but I'm made up now that it's sorted :)
Really want to get this, just hope my finances permit!
I asked you a while back about damage etc...How realistic is the damage on here would you say mate?
Exactly the same with me mate, I went to Arnold Clarke today for the part, they sent me to Wigan which was 30 miles away...I got there and they gave me the top mount, was fuming!
Anyway I've managed to order the actual bearing so I'm picking it up in the morning :)
I'll let you know whether it...
Basically I want to make my own induction setup for my PH2 1.2 16v rep, I'm not being a gypo and being tight, I can easily get a k&n setup for a low price but I want to get the best results so I presume making one myself will do this.
I need to know what I'll need and the approximate costs...
Spring each side aswel as shocks.
2 seconds job to replace the spring, just jack the rear side of the car up using a good trolley jack or axle stands, then get someone to push the wheel down and you can just pull the springs out.
To fit RS skirts you need RS wings, and therefore the RS front bumper etc etc.
You can get some skirts for non RS so don't worry, you can pick them up on here, Ebay etc.
