its coming up as a red 172 on the reg check. Must have been crashed, owner saw how much te cost of flane red paint it (its a two stage colour like liquid yellow) and thought sod that just have something similar.
Cherry red is a non sport colour, has it been in a bump or something and been resprayed? def not a standard colour. The 172 red is flame red and its not that by the looks fo it. The badge has been stuck on too. Looks like a really nice example though!
is it not nautical blue? nautical blues lighter, however they do do a monaco blue which is the same as the 172 colour (a really nice dark blue metallic) and is darker than artic. Think odyssey blue is the dark blue on the ph1 172
nautical blue
and monaco
as if this has been bumped up, cheers for the comments guys! got a few more mods on her now, bailey header tank, polished gear knob, and a set of particularly lush seats sitting in my conservatory, few more mods before FCS and shes done :approve:
Day - dont tell me your missing your old ph1...
Get the shocks as well, i've been in some cars with springs and standard shocks and not only is the handling rough as hell, the suspension almost always is fucked after about a year of fitting. If you really cant afford the kit make sure you buy some good quality springs opposed to pi, gmax etc.
you want plastic filler primer, however you really need to have a practice on something before you colour code your car, the bumpers are extremely bumpy will need lots of sanding and prep. Worth a punt though :)
D4ves is gonna be mental when finished! although hes spanked some mega cash on it. When done will def be one of the best.
Ali - have to admit i regret it sometimes especially when you see someone f**k up all the hard work you put into it!
