Get them mate both worth there wait in gold, tip, don't do the link nuts up as tight as the ones in the pic, thought it was a bit loose after my mate had fitted it and thought I can do up a couple of bolts, well I can too much it seems, read the instructions afterwards DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN LINK BOLTS...
Thanks
Just removed the air box and drilled some 10mm holes in the cold side at the bottom(the side where the cold air feed comes in),will give a bit better sound, not a lot more power though, just a cheap induction set up really.
Cam's are now fitted and wow what a difference, the car pulls so strong now and it's so smooth, ktec really seem to have done there homework.I would say the cams are even smoother than standard, very very impressed. The extra torque that is developed low down(see graph)make's it feel that the engine...
Get it done mate, had a good drive of the car today and it really is a good deal quicker,1st and 2nd seem to fly by and the extra torque really seems to make it feel like it's a bigger engine.Still interested to see what it makes on the original dyno at Tdf,not really concerned with peak figures...
Just need to get some of ktecs new cams in there now, have you ever asked ktec about a ITB s/c set up,I know they have done it with there turbo car if only a one off at present.I want to add ITBS to my cams and then go down the forged s/c route if it can be done.
So that would be about 5 bhp on last time, will be interesting to see what mine makes when it go's on back on the original dyno at TDF.I must admit my car feels a fair bit quicker and it feels like the gains from ktec are about right, what about yours mate.
Will be going to TDF in the next 2 weeks or so just need to ring them and get booked in,need a couple of bits doing so kill 2 birds with one stone.I had been saving for a s/c kit since I got the car(8 months ago) but decided to spend it on suspension cams ect, will be eating beans on toast until...
ITBS will be nice,if the car preforms with the same gains on Matt's dyno then 198 bhp and 174 ft/lbs that will be pretty awesome from a set of cams, with ITBS it should be epic.:)
Take a look at this graph mate, good increase in torque and bhp,car will be nicer to drive and rev higher. This is a before and after of my car with very similar mods to yours at TDF.
You will see better torque with baffle in but less bhp, other way round with it out, depends on how you drive really leave it out for mapping if you ring it's neck everywhere, for more grown up driving you might want to leave it in.Hope this help's.
I think someone can't read, the rollers were the same for both runs, read it properly mate,I don't think there is a lot between Andy's and Matt's mapping, they are both very good.
Dave's run prior to having the cams fitted was the same as what my car ran on Matt's rollers prior to having the new...
Never had a any warning lights when fitted to mine mate, like peeps have said the lambada sensor can be a b**ch to get out, other than that fit as normal.
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
Sticker's on a track car cool,on the road may look a little silly,so make sure you get yourself a trailer,306D will make a good tow car as well.
Hi Dan
Have a look on ktecs web site buddy;),got to be the best mod for bang for bucks, car felt great on the way home, can't wait to have a drive tomorrow:evil:
