I used to Hill climb a 182 FF Black Gold. I bought a 182 Trophy to compete with then covid came along. I hope to enter next year.

All fuses are ok. When the ignition is turned on the immobiliser light goes off but the stop light stays on and the engine symbol with stop in it flashes. If you try to start just cranks does not fire up

Just had a look at code readers the garage I think is a proper reader as it is attached to a laptop rather than the Amazon held held ones

honest answer not sure it was the garage that attached the reader. The know the car have got faults sorted before. The only code they got was once this morning something like unable to get cruising or engine speed?

I had an issue on starting sounded like the immobiliser was stopping the car from starting turned out was the crankshaft sensor

The rear spoiler on my Trophy means I hit my head everytime I open the hatch. Why I can't remember is beyond me...oh wait where are my keys?

I had a clio 182 with a scorpion exhaust which was great around town and b roads but a bit of a drone on the motorway. I now have a 182 trophy which has been restored to out of the box spec and the original spec exhaust is erm well silent. Barely a rasp until about 5500 revs then its a bit dull...

I can't remember but is this car metallic? If so anything you try is surely only working on the lacquer and not the paint? so if you cut through it you will leave a mark where you damage the lacquer, a flat colour of course you could cut right back then re polish.

I would take it to a paint shop for advice. a friend of mine got a mark tried cutting it back (metallic) and made it worse.

Nope it's back to the garage for a few bits and pieces, bet it's over a grand again! way way out of my league lol

Nice to meet up at last Matt! Well we got 4 points each to start us of ended 24th out of 34 Chris 17th 3secs in it. Peter had a terrible start first Sunday practice straight in the gravel at Pardon not a happy Bunny no damage only pride! Fingers crossed for a dry Shellsley and a few more points.
