Get someone to fabricate the column mounts and extend the lower joint with a sleeve so the squib and everything moves together. Also get a twingo lower uj as its a solid uj mount not rubber
The only good use clio brakes have is to put a race pad in and slam on the pedal every corner. Ive used abs setup, 172 cup setup and custom bias valve setup to no avail.
@hipwell the rear nut is 7703044201 the bolts were high tensile cap heads with thick washer, Im not sure of the length. Would be worthwile replacing them.
I used to work to deadlines on the clio as it was my only car! Made for a not so relaxing time when things went wrong :O
How much are they slackened by? I would get them all out personally. One of my rears seized and had to grind it off, cost like 13 odd quid for a new captive nut o_O
It gets thrown out because the wires that go into the wheel for horn, cc and airbag move out of their original postion. Then people say the omp boss throws the lights up on the dash because theyve put it on wrong.
Ph1 horn is nice to have but if your wheel has push horn then use that
Resistors or renault clip for dash lights, horn use ph1 indicator stalk. And if you take the standard wheel off and put the boss on without moving anything else unnecessarily then the angle sensor wont change.
@Slamz Appreciate it. Just to clarify what i mean by spacers are something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bright-Mild-Steel-Round-Bar-12mm-to-50mm-1-2-to-2-EN1A-Rod-250-1000mm/291541838286?var=590599586359&hash=item43e13f69ce:m:mPj_wyZYSp7172w0Pif7ZXA
Surely 50mm is enough area to...
Fair enough! I made a door card as the ledge was too close for me, I would sometimes go to reverse and lock my arm between the wheel and the card and proper bend my wrist back it was not nice lol
Looks like my subframe! Ive been drilling holes non stop since I got it, I settled on using spacers to raise it up so it was flush with the lip, then drilled lower holes in the side mount to bring it back down, did this so I could put it left more central with the wheel. What a hassle though..
Also want to add that the the full interior will be staying, the only thing Ill do is cut around the carpet for the pedals and removed all the foam undearneath around the foot rest, as theres still space to rest my foot. Im thinking about trimming some of the lower dash but really trying to keep...
Im thinking it could be bolted to the floor with spacers, use say 3 at the front and a couple back, as the force pushing the pedals the front will take all the hit.
Also floorboard being used right now sheet on order ?
Slow progress but Its starting to form how I wanted.
I have now moved the seat back about 60mm, it could go back much further (it will need to) but Ill just wait until my sliders arrive as I had already drilled new holes in the mounts so no need to do any extra work for now. Also made up a...
What type of sheet metal would you use as a plate for the pedals? 3mm alluminium? Also any ideas how to get the plate flat that wouldnt need welding? Just thinking I could do this all at home without one. Mild steel spacers fastened down with rivnuts?? Or would that not be strong enough
