I wouldn't say it's a s**t box, nothing in the description says it's a s**t box, but it has vital information missed. So from the description I'd say 1.5k yes. I think it looks stunning, just needs a splitter and a standard exhaust and that is a good looking motor. Lol at retails over 5k though.

My 172 was fine and it didn't have it change in my ownership. But I can't find a new motor at the moment so might have to get another Clio. I'm not buying a car that needs a cambelt change, I'm just asking would you walk away from a car that's had a cam and aux belt change but not dephaser?

How essential is this to have changed when looking at a new car (172,182) ? It isn't in the service guide by Renault. A couple years back when I got my 172 cam and aux belts changed no one was having these changed, now all of a sudden most people are getting them changed with 72k service.

Legally you can do it. Pre-book MOT at your nearest station. Don't quote me on this but I doubt they will googlemap the nearest station from your house, just don't take the piss. Granted it felt weird driving a car that had no MOT for the past 4 months and was SORN, lol.

Yes. Just came back from NZ. Car was SORN with no MOT and no Insurance. Get insurance with cover note, pre-book MOT, as long as it ain't more than 10 miles away. And then TAX once you have your certificate. No biggie. Regarding insurance only you know how safe your area is. I didn't insure...

I'm 99% sure the 16.50 + VAT one is the one that runs along the bottoms and the 30 + VAT is the one that runs from the handle down the seat. Although you say you have fitted it ? Odd.
