Ah sweet.
I picked up a green 58 plate 2.0 TSI GT version on Thursday and it was a hoot to drive. Such a good car, everything the MK5 Golf has, but better.

I'd rather buy a car that needs work (pending it's cheap) and know it's been done properly, especially when it comes to timing belts up.

Powder coating is the only way to go, any other way is w*nk. I cringe at our bodyshop wheel refurbs.

How come you bought two rear wheel bearings instead of disc with bearings already pressed ?
I HATE scoobys (strong words I know, possibly swearing to car enthusiasts), however I love this shape scooby, infact, I love this scooby, bar the tints (tint-hater) ;)

Yeah the rear lights are a little 'lexus-y'. I'll probably change them sometime, it's still sat in the garage until I sell the Golf though :(
