Yeah I think for the usage for now they will be spot on, I had some on my Audi and they were really good on what is a heavy 4 wheel drive car (yet Quattro sport)
Yeah I've put a thread up on the suspension section.
Going for bilsteins and then adjustable top mounts, replace my bushes for poly ones and front arb, drop link and ball joint freshen up. Should be sweet once done.
I can sell my cup dampers and springs to fund the Billy's.
Bit of an update, fitted my rear brakes and pads, clean the whole area down and now she looks much better.
Found it nearly impossible to put the bottom pad holder back in, once it slides in the first pad that easy but it pushes it way off for the next pad, it needed de-buring but had no file to...
In another thread he made, page 2 I believe.
Of course yeah, ok mate you know more than me. I'm sorry I offered my knowledge.
As I said, solvent issues due to no heat treatment. Not moisture.
Night.
Go for it mate, if it worked before then should be fine.
The cold is not your friend and neither is rain obviously but for such a small part it wouldn't make a difference. Heat and patients mate.
If it fails again il do it for free if you send me it.
No worrys, wood always does this.... Just trapped air pockets in the wood. Only way to loose them is as you say just rub it down, break the bubbles as it were, release the air trapped and go again. In my experience depending on wood I have done, mainly running boards on rolls Royce/bentleys is 3...
240 is way to rough mate.
Finish in anything above 500-800....
Clean it down, warm it up a tad, one coat of primer. Wait until it's dry and looks Matt all over, like 10-15 mins and then just use a direct satin finish mate, 2-3 coats is plenty. All the same thickness.
Don't go gloss you won't be...
I would of had contaminants only, no moisture related issues/blooming if sprayed outside.
Honestly don't bother commenting I'm a trained professional, my life's work is painting cars so please understand that what I say is 99% true.
There are a million reasons why it would of done this but...
That's ok mate, I thought you didn't rub it down so leaving it that long should be ok depending on how many coats you put on. I believe it to be solvent issue not moisture, moisture clouding is a thing but that's only when using old style paints that depend on air drying alone. Solvent is both...
So when it rains all day like today at work and I was spraying an E type in the oven, that draws in air from outside with the burner off means I had the same issue yeah? No mate, if you don't know what you're on about don't apply a comment. It's simple understanding of products.....
Well listen to me as I'm a painter by trade lol.
It's not moisture mate, you can spray in your shed when it's raining and it won't do that it's rubbish.
Leaving it that long won't help mate, did you sand it down? Possibly broke through then that will cause a similar reaction.
These cans sometimes have a hardener you need to release under the can first then shake.
Again, looks like you've applied to much. Solvent isn't escaping and is being trapped. You would be better off warming the item up and the can to a decent temp first. Helps draw out the solvent.
That's to much product applied to quickly mate, it's a solvent reaction.
No need to have applied primer, just a normal plastic adhesion promoter would of worked but failing getting that then one coat of primer then wait 10-15 mins, then apply the satin. Less is more to begin with. Should wait...
Yeah exactly mate, the engine and box on this are why I purchase it along with all the mods that had been done prior to mine.
Engine is very strong and pulls well and no crunching box noises or anything, just a noises clutch release bearing and sometimes it struggles to start on the key but...
I like to have things tidy and neat so if I remove something it needs to be put in place and look presentable regardless of use, but then again I worked for rolls Royce and Bentley for 14 years, it's rubbing off, now I work on ferraris, racing Jaguars, lamborghinis etc etc I apply the race...
I too was under that impression hence why I didn't bother checking. Tbh though it is just a front bumper and a wing, the front slam panel looked minced a tad but it's honestly fine, I spent 15 mins tidying up the attempted repair.
Once you factor repairs, courtesy car, paint costs, picking up...
Finished welding the cage in and finalising the fitment.
Few pics of what has been done.
When I put the holes in for the rear I noticed the underseal/stone protection to be far to thick to clamp over so removed all of it, must be at least 5mm thick and obviously dangerous to bolt through, so...
My best mate had them on his vtec mini and changed them immediately said they was horrid, I just searched gaz coilovers and only found bad reviews so might get the Billy's or spax rsx depending on price.
My next question is who is the best person to use for all of my other replacement parts, I...
Yeah mainly track days and fast road use as its my second car so can be harsh if need be.
I want to corner weight it so it needs to be coilovers, I've got the cup setup and springs already and I'm not feeling them, probably age related but they hold there own and it's still pretty crisp but...
