Bought a cup alternator off here and the comm is fucked and the brushes. It's a Valeo but the sticker has come off found this kit on eBay can anyone tell me if this will fit?

A friend who got it through there work and it can't go back did consider making spacer and using normal bolt but thought I would try on here for the bolt

I have put this in wanted but thought I would try on here I bought a genuine cambelt kit for my 172 and the idle I got with the kit has a different bore size, I can't send the kit back has anyone got the fitted bolt and spacer spare. I know this is a long shot!

Ordered a cambelt kit with my engine number because not sure what engine is in my Clio 172 as it's been changed at some point, the question is the genuine kit has come with two idlers but different sizes because one had superseded the other at some point, I can't find the old idlers as had a bit...

Just a bit more info my concern is did it have the wrong seal in it before or, I know the engine was replace at some point ( cambelt failure) is the engine from different year that has different size seal? Anyone?

Hi got a new seal to replace leaky one, went on a bit to easy and noticed a gap, new seal says 28-47-5.5 and old seal has 29-47-5.5 surely this would make it tighter if 1mm smaller? every time I search for seal I get the same 28-47-5.5 confused so am I help please.

Will the cams still stay in place with cam cover off then or does it not matter as long as I put the locking tool back on the end of the cams before I put the cover back on?

I'm currently doing a cambelt change on my 172 engine, that is out of the car, there was a lot of oil around cam cover so was going to re-seal. I've read on here that you should have the cam locking tool attached when taking cam cover off but it's attached to the cam cover can someone let me...
Got the engine out of my 172 got the cambelt to change as well as some other jobs, while it's out is there any seals/gaskets that are common to leak that would be worth doing while it's out?

My 172 failed its MOT, Play in steering rack, rear discs, exhaust hanger I also noticed a rip in the alternator belt and the alternator only charging if I put pressure on wires when started not before!.

Hi hope someone can help, whats the part number for just the genuine Renault bottom ball joint and also do you have to remove the subframe to change the steering rack?
