Mrs is getting a brand new Ibiza FR on Monday so was looking at Cquartz + Reload, Dlux and Fly by 30 but I'm just worried about borderline minimum temps for application. It looks like it's going to be 10-13 degrees midday into afternoon next weekend but am I best trying to apply ASAP or leave it...
The HTC one will be the best phone on the market when it comes out IMO but they fall down with keeping on top of updates. If they sorted that out and advertised a LOT better they wouldnt be in such a bad postion compared to the other manufacturers. If they were chosen as a Nexus manufacturer I...
The HTC One is out in a few weeks, which has better screen, camera, more RAM etc. You risk being stuck on an old version of Android sooner if going for a One X+ as HTC like to stop supporting stuff once 18+ months old.
There'll be some phones announced at the mobile world conference next week and the HTC "M7" is supposed to be unveiled this week I think so might be worth waiting. There's some rumours there could be a new Nexus device announced at Google I/O in May, but this would be a change to the usual...
It would make sense for a slightly upgraded version to be out around June to dent any Samsung/HTC/Apple offerings coming in Q2/Q3. But I know new Nexus devices are usually on a 12 month timeframe :dapprove:. I'm still rocking a Desire HD, so am desperate for an upgrade but would definitely...
It seems a decent phone but Google I/O is only 3 and a bit months away, I'm hanging on for a Nexus 4 replacement / upgraded version which will hopefully be announced.
I followed Budgie's guide and got mine out of the top as both my rear subframe bolts had snapped clips that make them "captive". It is a bit fiddly, removing the clutch cover gives the extra space you need and I had a lot of engine up, gearbox down and vice versa towards the end but it will come...
I've got an intermittent ABS fault since the handbrake cable snapped on the MOT test. I've replaced the cable and the ABS sensor on the side that snapped as it had a chunk out of it, but that hasn't helped. As I have no MOT now I can't drive it about so does anyone have a clip in the north west...
I put the Clio in for it's MOT and the handbrake cable snapped during the test and also failed on excess play in wheel bearing on the same wheel and the ABS/traction/serv lights also come on. I've replaced the handbrake cable and fitted a replacement stub axle and a new genuine disc. I...
I did a search but people seem to be saying a 182 uses a thicker one and a 172 cup a thinner one but can't find info on a non cup 172. So thick or thin stub axle, which is it?
That's a shame I was going to buy some from Big Red myself but was worried I'd end up with the wrong pins. The originals look to be these ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-Twingo-Brake-caliper-Slider-bolt-BRH11227-/271117925281?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1fe33ba1...
Just swap the 3 relays around and see if it helps, it didn't help with mine. I bought 3 from Halfords which came to about £30 (wanted to check them ASAP) to completely rule them out, then just took them back. You can get them from RS much cheaper, but my local one is miles away. Was it the full...
This may or may not help but I had the same symptoms, a new braided earth lead for the gearbox sorted that. Easy to identify, use a jump lead to clean metal on the box and to earth and see if it helps or test earth resistance with a meter. Once I got rid of those lights and it still wouldn't...
I had the exact same symptoms ended up needing an o/s driveshaft. It started out happening at 65-70 and eventually happened at lower and lower speeds until it was 45-50 like yours. I replaced it for a second hand one but it had got so bad before that it knackered the wheel bearing. I got the...
Starter works fine off the car, checked the voltage to the solenoid, 12.5v when starting. I put it back in and got the single click again. Used a jumper cable on one of the starter bolts to battery negative and it turns over! It's dropping to around 11v when turning over which sounds ok, but now...
The starter did nothing when I partially removed it, and the engine does turn by hand. I'll remove the starter properly today and see if it works off the car.
Most comments I've seen say stick it in 4th or 5th at the gearbox end then match it up in the car and it's easier/quicker have someone to helping as it can take a few attempts to get spot on.
I did try to get it off but one of the exhaust manifold bolts is rounded so spent a while trying to get that off to no avail. I might try smashing a 9mm socket on to it tomorrow and see how that goes.
I've been replacing my gerbox over the past few weekends so car has been sat for approximately 5 weeks. Whilst doing the clutch one of the cover bolts sheared so I replaced the flywheel as well. I put the car back together last weekend and went to start it but get a single click and that's it...
Yep, this short be out shortly, not much of change to the One x really though. There are rumours of prices coming down too to keep HTC competetive with Samsung if true I might go for one, if not I'll hold out a bit longer til the next HTC flagship phone.
It's worth checking which gearbox and shafts you actually have, not what should be on the car so I sympathise with Renparts. I ordered a new shaft from Renault and upon arrival I found out the box and shafts I had on the car were from a ph1.
Got it out in the end but it needed the front of the subframe dropping about an inch on the offside and two on the nearside. I'm hoping getting the new box in will go a bit easier now I know the orientation to get it in/out and the angle/height the engine needs to be.
Well I had a good go, but I couldn't manipulate it out. There just didn't seem to be enough movement away from the clutch cover to rotate the box, engine was right up against suspension turret. So after an hour of trying I thought the hard bits already done, I'll just have to drop the subrame a...
Thanks Budgie. I'll give it a go out the top, I can see it being a bit fiddly but hopefully it will go ok. I might take some pics to go with your instructions if I remember.
I've got to change my gearbox and have read through the two guides which drop the subframe but I've seen a few people mention you can take it out of the top. Can anyone give me a quick step by step guide? I just want to try and remove the least amount of components as possible so I don't want to...
